Home Instead Southport & Formby services include companionship, home help, personal care, meal preparation, accompanying clients to appointments, post-hospital care and medication reminders. Assistance for short periods of time with 24-hour care subject to agreement can also be arranged subject to assessment.

Home Instead is also proud to offer a 'Live-in' service.

Home Instead works closely with clients, clients' families and healthcare professionals to identify a person’s needs and the best way for a person to remain independent, confident and safe in their home.

Home Instead's Care Professionals receive specialist training, and are required to have a minimum of 4 references in addition to an enhanced (DBS) background check. They do not wear uniforms as this can create a barrier, particularly when a care professional accompanies a client out into the community.

At Home Instead, continuity of care is paramount, to ensure that Caregiver/client relationships are established, and to help identify any changes in a client's physical and mental wellbeing. This is particularly important for clients living with Dementia.

It would be impossible to state exactly how brilliant Home Instead Southport were. From the management and administrative staff to all the carers (we had 12 carers in total), the professionalism, compassion and understanding shown by all was fantastic.
At one of the worst times in our lives, Home Instead
gave us a peace of mind that our Mum was in safe, competent and caring hands.
As Mum's condition worsened, Home Instead went that extra 100 miles to help us - Red Tape was dispensed with and each time we faced a new hurdle, they stepped up and faced the challenge with us.
It was reassuring that as new staff member came in, the existing Team L introduced the new faces that meant Mum felt she was being cared for by a team that understood her and her needs.
If anyone ever asks me how we coped with such a hard and stressful time, I would always say that we could not have done it without Home Instead and their support, their care and compassion.
We thank each and every member of Team L! To us, they were personal!

After we changed the caregiver company to Home Instead dads mood definately improved.
The caregivers treated him with kindness and respect and he loved chatting to them. They always arrived on time and never rushed him helping him where necessary but leaving him to do things independently when he was
able. Very professional caregivers and in the office. I am using them for mum now that dad has died.

My Mum has been having home care from Home Instead for nearly 2 years, and over that period her needs have increased as her dementia has worsened. She has had about 8 to 10 caregivers in that period and been very happy with all of them. Home Instead clearly hand pick them, they are lovely ladies.
One of the nice things is that they are all individuals and do a variety of things. One takes my Mum to feed the ducks in the park. Another has brought her very tame guinea pig to sit on my Mum's knee. They all cook slightly differently as well. I leave a meal planner which will have for instance egg on toast for a little supper, and one will make an omelette, another will do a poached egg. They will make food from scratch, such as sausage and mash, and my Mum's favourite - avocado salad.
They are proactive when they spot things wrong they let me know - be it a rash or a leaking kettle.
The best thing is that they will all sit down with my Mum when she is upset and talk her round.

From the beginning of my care package (more than five years ago), I have been very satisfied with the care I have received from Home Instead (Southport). My regular caregivers (and those who provide cover for holidays etc.) have been efficient and kind and looked after me very well and had my personal
needs in mind at all times. The company have tried to accommodate my need for a regular team of carers and for a regular time slot. I would be happy to recommend the company to others in need of home care.

From the outset, Home Instead Senior Care (Southport) staff were professional and showed understanding and empathy with my situation and requirements. The office staff always tried hard to accommodate every booking request however complicated and were 100% successful. The caregivers were sensibly selected
for my wife's condition and were conscientious. Their reliable services released pressure off many times. I have been most grateful for their excellent services.

Helpful office staff accommodating to the needs of the client and relatives. Always keeps family informed and advised (when needed) appropriate professional carers. Very professional, caring, friendly. Always helpful and supportive of the client. Understand needs and very astute to the needs of the

My mother needed a new care agency and I knew that Home Instead had a good reputation. We have been so relieved and pleased with the complete insight into the many complexities that present a 91 year old. Home Instead have really made an excellent start and worked hard to create total confidence in

I and our family were very happy with the caregiver who looked after dad, he was extremely caring, compassionate and professional nothing was too much trouble for him. My dad was very fond of him and we could not have wished for anyone better. Thank you for everything much appreciated by us all.

The only negative aspect of my experience with Home Instead was the delay in receiving my two-week schedule from them.
I often had to phone to ask for it, during the first week of the two weeks it applied.
But apart from that one thing, I was 100% delighted with everything.
Every carer who came here
was lovely.

Home Instead Senior Care (Southport) provided companionship and help to my mother over a period of ten years. The carers were always kind and helpful, unjudgemental. The service was concluded only when my mother became too frail to depend on twice daily visits. She is now in a care home.

From the outset (October 2016), I have been extremely satisfied with the service I have received from Home Instead Senior Care. Every carer I have had (regular carers and carers kind enough to stand in for them when they are off) has been very efficient, kind, courteous and looked after me very well

I started to use Home Instead when mum needed help with her medication taking. They had been recommended by a friend.
I was very impressed by the professionalism of due company and all the employees that I met. Mum had the best care I could have asked for. Carers took the time to get to know Mum and
she enjoyed their visits. They would contact me if they had any concerns. They would always ensure mum's flat was clean and tidy before leaving, delivered a high level of care.

As an 80+-year-old married couple we need, and from Home Instead receive, daily care to make meals and help keep the house tidy and clean.
From the beginning Home Instead has provided pleasant and competent carers who have had the initiative not only to make meals , but to keep the kitchen clean and
tidy, to make beds, put clothes back in wardrobes (having often labelled the locations), and taken initiatives to tidy and reorganise otherwise quite chaotic general cupboards and drawers. We have had over a few years a cleaner to help to clean the house and to do the laundry. Our new carers quickly achieved a good, friendly relationship. Greatly to the benefit of our overall comfort.


We have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone, of whatever age and any sex.

Leanne

Leanne Stubbs

Job Title: Operations Manager - with Registered Manager Duties

Joined: 2007

Leanne’s role is to oversee all operational aspects of our service whilst remaining responsible as Registered Manager. This ensures that along with the management team, all of our clients are cared for in a safe and dignified manner. A lot of Leanne's time is spent ensuring that everything is in place for each client and that where appropriate referrals to other health and social care specialists, are made. Leanne also goes out to meet people who are interested in using the service and spends time with people to ensure that they receive the best possible service, tailored to meet their individual needs and preferences. Having had personal experience of caring for a loved one with Dementia, Leanne understands the challenges faced by family members and is passionate about ensuring that the care provided to every single one of our clients, is consistent, reliable and adaptable to meet peoples changing needs.


Leanne has gained a qualification in care management and leadership and in 2008 Leanne gained a BSc honours in Therapy Radiography. Prior to joining the office team, Leanne worked as a Caregiver for a number of different care agencies, Leanne now feels that at last, she has found a company that has time to care for its clients and provides quality service.

Charlotte Baines

Job Title: Head of Client Experience

Joined: 2010

Charlotte joined Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2010 becoming a Senior in 2012 and then swiftly joining the office support team. She soon established a reputation for delivering a first-class service with empathy and care for all.


Promoted to Deputy Care Manager in 2016 and then onto Head of Client Experience Charlotte is often the face of Home Instead when she first meets families to talk about the benefits of homecare with Home Instead.


Charlotte is passionate about delivering on our promises to clients and their families and will stand in for Leanne during holiday periods.
