Home Instead Southport & Formby services include companionship, home help, personal care, meal preparation, accompanying clients to appointments, post-hospital care and medication reminders. Assistance for short periods of time with 24-hour care subject to agreement can also be arranged subject to assessment.

Home Instead is also proud to offer a 'Live-in' service.

Home Instead works closely with clients, clients' families and healthcare professionals to identify a person’s needs and the best way for a person to remain independent, confident and safe in their home.

Home Instead's Care Professionals receive specialist training, and are required to have a minimum of 4 references in addition to an enhanced (DBS) background check. They do not wear uniforms as this can create a barrier, particularly when a care professional accompanies a client out into the community.

At Home Instead, continuity of care is paramount, to ensure that Caregiver/client relationships are established, and to help identify any changes in a client's physical and mental wellbeing. This is particularly important for clients living with Dementia.

For nearly 8-years, I have used Home Instead to care for my uncle, who has Alzheimer's and Dementia. They have always been there for any situation that has arisen. The caregivers have adapted their various talents to help my uncle in every aspect of his care needs, which changed over the years.

Outstanding care and special mention to the staff who go beyond what is expected e.g. providing emergency cover when Aunty waited 9 hours for an ambulance. Carers and leaders are very focused on my aunty's needs and preferences. She felt reassured, looked after and cared for.

My father has had Home Instead Southport for the past several years. They have been magnificent in every way, the managers in the office and the carers attending my father. Unfortunately, he is getting worse. However, Home Instead have adapted to meet his needs and allowed him to live independently
in his own apartment. They are professional, responsible, caring, knowledgeable, fast-acting and trustworthy. To be like that takes a remarkable organisation with high standards.

Staff were friendly, expert and professional.
Completely reliable, consistent. Flexible, undertook tasks such as collecting specimens on their own initiative. Excellent.
Billing an issue; We wanted electronic bills for dealing with the LA. Not sure why these proved so difficult as they could be emailed.
My late mother paid direct debit so payment was certain.

All the carers were professional, friendly and a great help to mum, especially in keeping her mind active and treating her as a friend. The service provider ensured carers were reliable and punctual and checked mum was happy with the service regularly.

From first to last, the service provided has been truly excellent. The carers always arrived on time and were intelligent, articulate, patient and so caring. Having the consistency of 3 or 4 carers is so important and comforting. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and very importantly, the carers were

I found the care given to my aunt excellent in every way. The caregivers were wonderful and treated my aunt with respect and dignity. Home Instead have been caring for my mum who is very confused, since January up to the present. They come in every morning to do breakfast and medication, and twice a week they help her to have a lovely bubbly bath, which she really enjoys. I couldn't manage without them, they are all lovely with mum,
and although she was totally against having any carers coming into the house at the beginning, she looks forward to seeing them and appreciates what they do for her. I am so very grateful for everything they do.

My family and I have been so very relieved that Mum has had the support and help from her wonderful carers during this difficult time of lockdown. As we all live a distance away it has been a particularly worrying time for us but the care and companionship provided for our mother has made it so much
easier. Enlisting the support of Home Instead last year when mum had a few setbacks has ensured that she is now still able to enjoy her independence but also has someone popping in to see her regularly and keep her spirits up. We are extremely grateful for the peace of mind that this brings.

Although at the beginning of our journey with Home Instead (Southport) our initial experience has been extremely positive. My mother has been skillfully eased into her carer's frequent visits and they're developing relationship is progressing beyond expectation. I have found the members of the management

Home Instead are extremely professional with lots of set procedures in place so that you can rely on them to do their job if you live away.
The ladies who came were well trained to deal with my mother-in-law, who has dementia. They were very patient and caring, listening to what she wanted but also
persuasive to what she needed. I can highly recommend them.

We started using the service to help my mother with her meals when she was home from hospital, and then tried to extend it to assisting with her medication.
The carers were very kind and well-meaning, and the office staff kind.
Unfortunately, Mum deteriorated, and ended up readmitted to hospital,
and then came home for end of life care.
We found the two-week contract quite limiting, and off-putting.

Leanne

Leanne Stubbs

Job Title: Operations Manager - with Registered Manager Duties

Joined: 2007

Leanne’s role is to oversee all operational aspects of our service whilst remaining responsible as Registered Manager. This ensures that along with the management team, all of our clients are cared for in a safe and dignified manner. A lot of Leanne's time is spent ensuring that everything is in place for each client and that where appropriate referrals to other health and social care specialists, are made. Leanne also goes out to meet people who are interested in using the service and spends time with people to ensure that they receive the best possible service, tailored to meet their individual needs and preferences. Having had personal experience of caring for a loved one with Dementia, Leanne understands the challenges faced by family members and is passionate about ensuring that the care provided to every single one of our clients, is consistent, reliable and adaptable to meet peoples changing needs.


Leanne has gained a qualification in care management and leadership and in 2008 Leanne gained a BSc honours in Therapy Radiography. Prior to joining the office team, Leanne worked as a Caregiver for a number of different care agencies, Leanne now feels that at last, she has found a company that has time to care for its clients and provides quality service.

Charlotte Baines

Joined: 2010

Charlotte joined Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2010 becoming a Senior in 2012 and then swiftly joining the office support team. She soon established a reputation for delivering a first-class service with empathy and care for all.


Promoted to Deputy Care Manager in 2016 and then onto Head of Client Experience Charlotte is often the face of Home Instead when she first meets families to talk about the benefits of homecare with Home Instead.


Charlotte is passionate about delivering on our promises to clients and their families and will stand in for Leanne during holiday periods.
