The only reason we stopped using the service was because of my wife returning to the nursing home.

I was expecting Mum to resist help from the carers they first started coming for Mum. However, I was extremely surprised how compassionate and professional. Her carers were very quickly managing to encourage Mum to let them help her.

We have used Home Instead to provide care for my Mum over a number of years. The staff have been excellent and have treated Mum with dignity and respect - Mum called the carers "my girls" this has been a difficult few months leading up to my mum's passing. All at Home Instead have gone out of their way to provide the extra care and support needed. Many thanks.

Unfortunately, this did not turn out to be the case. and I was very disappointed with the service. We could have had a better service for half the price.

Very professionally both the caregivers and the office staff. Looked after my Dad from 2017 to 2019 and then my mum in 2021. We built up an excellent relationship. As with all professions, some caregivers didn't always give their best but most did and quite a few went above and beyond - they will know who they are - and I'm so grateful, as were my mum and dad.

Excellent, timely, empathic care was provided by a small team to our mother, who was able to remain in sheltered accommodation longer than might otherwise have been the case. The small team, with our carer, who usually came six days out of seven every week, meant continuity, giving our mother confidence in the service. This carer became like a close friend to our mother. She was helpful and efficient without being too intrusive.

The excellent care my Mum received from all the caregivers allowed her to be in her own home for longer than we could have hoped. The sensitivity shown to her growing needs through dementia was greatly appreciated. We had real peace of mind that she was well looked after by a regular team of carers. The communication with the office staff certainly made things run smoothly.

For nearly 8-years, I have used Home Instead to care for my uncle, who has Alzheimer's and Dementia. They have always been there for any situation that has arisen. The caregivers have adapted their various talents to help my uncle in every aspect of his care needs, which changed over the years.

My dad had excellent care from Home Instead. The carers looked after Dad efficiently in a kind manner, noticing problems and acting on them immediately. Dad looked forward to their visits. The office management gave great support in a friendly manner.

Outstanding care and special mention to the staff who go beyond what is expected e.g. providing emergency cover when Aunty waited 9 hours for an ambulance. Carers and leaders are very focused on my aunty's needs and preferences. She felt reassured, looked after and cared for.

My father has had Home Instead Southport for the past several years. They have been magnificent in every way, the managers in the office and the carers attending my father. Unfortunately, he is getting worse. However, Home Instead have adapted to meet his needs and allowed him to live independently in his own apartment. They are professional, responsible, caring, knowledgeable, fast-acting and trustworthy. To be like that takes a remarkable organisation with high standards.

As a social worker, I often had to deal with issues arising from problems with care agencies. This was not the case with Home Instead. I had confidence in the care and support they gave my mother.

Billing an issue; We wanted electronic bills for dealing with the LA. Not sure why these proved so difficult as they could be emailed. My late mother paid direct debit so payment was certain.

Home Instead support my aunt since she has started to suffer from dementia. They have made my life so much easier and they have been a real lifeline for the whole family. We know that our aunt is safe, cared for, having a lovely visit, her shopping is done and all the caregivers truly care that she is happy. Thank you to a great team.

Very good care provided by first-class carers who are very professional as well as helpful and understanding. Good timekeeping whilst showing flexibility. Very reassuring and prepared to take on small tasks willingly. Makes an enormous difference to the start of my day.

All the carers were professional, friendly and a great help to mum, especially in keeping her mind active and treating her as a friend. The service provider ensured carers were reliable and punctual and checked mum was happy with the service regularly.

From first to last, the service provided has been truly excellent. The carers always arrived on time and were intelligent, articulate, patient and so caring. Having the consistency of 3 or 4 carers is so important and comforting. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and very importantly, the carers were proactive if ever they had concerns. I found the care given to my aunt excellent in every way. The caregivers were wonderful and treated my aunt with respect and dignity. They honoured her independence while encouraging her with her everyday needs, such as personal care and nourishment. The office staff were always very helpful and tried their best to meet any requests we had.

Home Instead (Southport) has provided care for a number of years. In all aspects; they have proved to be very professional, supportive and cooperative in all areas from caregivers to the office staff. As a family, we can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering home care.
