I can highly recommend Home Instead Peterborough.
I had major abdominal surgery and needed short term help for personal care etc. It was a godsend to me that I could access such excellent care on a short term basis. The carers were all professional and also friendly. In addition to personal care did
light housework. The carers had been carefully chosen so I got on well with them. I always knew who was coming, they were punctual and on the odd occasion when there was a delay because of morning traffic the office phoned me to inform me of the slight delay.
So all in all a very professional and caring company which I highly recommend.

Home Instead has supported my Mum, who has advanced Alzheimer's, and my Dad, who, as her main carer, needs respite. Home Instead was marvellous from the start. The team clearly understands the need to get to know someone with dementia well. The carers are now fully trusted by my Mum. My Dad has two
afternoons a week to himself. Mum is well looked after by people who genuinely care about her and are utterly professional in safeguarding etc. Also, as they have insurance to drive the person cared for, it means Mum can be taken out somewhere different for a coffee, etc.
For people who want to remain in their own homes and manage care incrementally, from companionship through to personal needs, discovering Home Instead was like hitting the jackpot for our family. They are truly person-centred. They bring together professional care with bespoke solutions for individuals and families.
They are reliable, understanding, professional and genuinely care both in the physical and ethical senses.

Highly recommended!
Dear family friend needed post hospital support with getting up, dressing, breakfast & lunch preparation. We were delighted to have such great caregivers from Home Instead. It meant we could all relax a bit knowing that they were visiting. Just a team of 4 - all introduced to him
in advance & a 6 week rota agreed. He gained confidence & mobility as well as enjoyed a daily chat. Very friendly & professional. It may seem initially expensive but I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. You get what you pay for! The caregivers also seemed happy in their work. Thank you to everyone involved

A very reliable service, delivered by health care professionals who were familiar with the client, ensuring the clients likes / dislikes were known about and complied with. Communication with the family was always precise, timely and easily understood.

My mum is in the dementia ward of a local care home and she has been enjoying daily companionship visits from Home Instead for about 3 months now.
Before the visits started, the Home Instead co-ordinator talked in detail with me and my mum to get to know her and sort out the best match for the caregivers.
It was important to me to minimise the number of care givers, so that my mum got to know them, so I am really happy that the visits are provided by a team of 3 ladies.
The daily visits are a mix of coffee in the residents lounge, walks in the garden, looking at old photographs together and craft activities.
When I visited mum last week, after saying hello, the first thing she said was that it was nice that her friends now visited her each day, meaning the Home Instead companions. This was lovely to hear.
I would like to thank Home Instead very much for considerably improving my mum's enjoyment of life.

I feel very fortunate to have come across Home Instead Peterborough (Oundle & The Deepings), for the care of my mother, particularly after trying to navigate the myriad of local care companies that don't offer what they promise and have copious hidden charges. From the Home Instead staff in the office
to the individual carers everyone seems to be dedicated for my mother care and well-being, with lots of valuable advice along the way, all of which is a most refreshing experience. What I particularly like is we have the same team of amazing carers visit each day which I believe is so important for ongoing continuity thus enabling my mother to develop a strong trusting relationship with them very quickly, I feel its important to see a familiar face each day! Basically, I cannot recommend this company highly enough as they have exceeded my expectations on all levels.

Very happy with the service provided. Everything is efficiently organised.
Mum has 3 visits a week, by the same 3 ladies who cover each other’s holidays etc.
The ladies tailor each visit to Mum’s requirements whether it’s help with showering, meal preparation etc. and have built a good friendly
relationship with her. Great care was taken to match the carers with shared interests and experiences to Mum’s. Would highly recommend it.

Mum has been receiving care visits from Home Instead for about a year, and it has made a very big difference to her life. Mum lost dad in 2020, and wishing to remain living independently at home she was initially reluctant to accept assistance, but she has impaired hearing and vision which makes life
hard for her. She does have very caring neighbours, but she felt she could not keep asking them for help and so agreed to the suggestion of visits twice a week from Home Instead.
They paired her up with two excellent carers and now she has someone to talk to, to help her with correspondence, with trips out and help with shopping. And all the little tasks that may seem mundane if you have all your sensory faculties but which can be a nightmare for mum. They are both lovely ladies, and she now looks forward to their visits. My brother and I live at opposite ends of the country and it's hugely reassuring for us that Mum is looked after and her needs met.

My mother-in-law has been receiving care visits from Home Instead since June 2021. As my husband and I live abroad, this has been invaluable to all of us. Mum has developed great bonds with her carers and we have also received wonderful service from the office staff. From the daily carer reports, we
were always aware of how Mum was. On the occasions when medical support was needed - after falls or illness - Home Instead managed the situations and kept us updated at all times. On her most recent stay in hospital, they continued a daily visit which kept us updated and provided Mum with a continuity of care at a time of confusion and worry. The level of care they provide to the client, and just as importantly, the level of support they give the family are exemplary. They really alleviate the stress of trying to care for a loved one from a distance.

The Principals and their office-based staff are totally dedicated to the service they offer and the care of their clients.
Equally professional in every way are their caregivers
all with appropriate backgrounds of course but people for whom nothing is too much trouble and their support is therefore second to none.

Home Instead has provided fantastic professional caregivers until Mum moved to her care home. The caregivers were selected with great thought and consideration for Mum's needs and over a five-year period they became good friends of Mum. The CareGiver who attended Mum's first-ever visit was still supporting
her through to the last week she needed support at home and the whole team was a trusted extension of the family network supporting Mum, and Dad prior to that. The daily reports of activities, meals, medical updates, walks and topics of conversation with Mum provided an excellent source of information and reassurance of her well-being. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to any family looking for care and support for a loved one who would benefit from the continuity of a regular friendly face that they could come to know, trust and make friends with.

My care providers are always on time and as they enter the door are full of joy.
They are happy to assist me to get ready for the day ahead.
They are great listeners to any problems I may have and to give suggestions.

"I have been working with Home Instead for just over 18 months and love it. Not long after starting with the company alongside my usual weekly hours, I took on the 'On Call' role 1 in every 4 weekends. The On-Call CAREGiver role involves me visiting clients that have asked for an extra visit, to cover for CAREGivers if they are unable to work for any reason and to be able to offer up anything at short notice to help clients or family members. This gives me a great opportunity to visit new clients, see new faces and hopefully make a difference in their day.
Just like my regular visits with my own clients this sometimes can involve personal care, helping make their day easier, do their hair, nails, maybe a puzzle or watch their favourite programme with them, bake a cake or simply just offering companionship.
Knowing you sometimes do things that may seem quite small to some people can be something incredibly substantial to others. Coming away knowing you have been able to help someone who could be quite vulnerable is such a humble feeling. In these unprecedented times we could be the only voice they hear that day or face they see as some people are unable to even see their loved ones which over time becomes much harder and being with each client for either an hour or 2 or maybe more gives them something to look forward to. The most rewarding part of being an on-call caregiver is knowing I make a difference.
