Home Instead Basildon was recommended to our family by word of mouth.

They were able to set up care for my mother at very short notice. The home assessment was thorough and all our questions were answered. A detailed care plan was developed. Despite the short notice we met the carer before she started and felt reassured. It is early days but so far we are very happy with how things are going and my mother now has the support she needs for showering and dressing.

Overall Experience
Carers are easy to find , good carers are more difficult.
Homecare have proved they are very good carers right from the staff, the service and the management. They deliver over and above what I expected.
They really care about my mother's wellbeing and their communication with me has been exceptional.
I strongly recommend them to other people in the same circumstance as I am with an elderly parent who needs to be looked after.

I send a thankyou to them all for giving me peace of mind with all that they do.

Overall Experience

Home Instead provided us with a superb carer to take my husband with dementia to snooker. They matched him up with the perfect person who treated him with dignity and respect. Unfortunately my husband has now digressd so cannot use the service but I would have no hesitation recommending this company. Very professional indeed.

Overall Experience
We needed help in our hour of need with morning care for our mum. From the first point of contact, who came round to meet us and mum, assessed our situation and what we needed. The lovely carer ladies that came in to help mum getting up & ready for the day were absolutely amazing with her, we got daily reports via the app.
The care they gave was respectful, kind and thoughtful.
I would highly recomment this homècare company.

I highly recommend Home Instead Basildon, they have been so supportive, kind and friendly, could not have asked for better. From the initial meeting, putting a plan in place and then meeting the wonderful carers made my sister and I feel comfortable that our mum would get the best care and she has, they have been amazing with her. We have been using HomeInstead, for just under a year. And have found the staff to be excellent, caring, and understanding. Without fail all staff members listen and communicate well. Take on board what is said, and explore ways to meet ever changing needs.

Despite Social Care telling me to find a cheaper care provider so I could get more hours (yes that really happened)!. I will be sticking with this organisation, staff are well trained and understand their role with the person who they are caring for.

We have been using Home Instead for daily care for dad for some years and the service they have provided has been fantastic. From dealing with the office staff/managers to the individual carers there have never been any issues and they all provide an excellent service and all of them really care about their clients. I would highly recommend them.

Home Instead Basildon has been providing care for my dad for almost a year. As I don't live close to my dad,I was initially worried about him having carers but I need not have been concerned. Following my initial enquiry I felt supported and reassured by management that dad would be well cared for. A small team of carers were selected to care for my dad and they have been kind, caring, respectful and professional. Dad has grown to trust them and enjoys their visits. When health issues have arisen the carers have raised concerns promptly with medical professionals and accessed the treatment dad needed. The app recording each visit and giving an overview of dad's physical and mental well-being has been really useful. Management are easily accessible and responsive.

Overall I have been extremely pleased with the quality of care and support dad and myself have received. Thank you.

My mother's carers are good, polite and caring. We sometimes have problems with the arrangements for her care visits due to staffing difficulties. But most of the time her visits are at the preferred time.

Mum has had Home Instead carers come in daily for 9 months. The carers have been kind, thoughtful, patient and very caring towards Mum who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. She has come to know her main carers very well and always enjoys talking to them during service.

Like any service it hasn't always been smooth running, particularly in the winter when staff sickness happens, however, this has usually been resolved by office staff communicating with myself in a timely manner. Liaising with office staff is easy and queries answered promptly. Overall a very good service is provided. Thank you Home Instead.

Parents report carers to be friendly and chatty, also have engaged my dad well and included mum in things which is crucial to building trust as the first time accepting carers into their home.

Dad has dementia and as such is confused but has accepted the carers to talk to.

Home Instead have been supporting my parents for almost a year, providing my dad with much needed respite as my mum has Alzheimer's and Vascular dementia. My parents have built a really good relationship with the carer and my mum considers her a very good friend, which is lovely and means we do not have to worry about mum and dad, and can go out with peace of mind. The service is reliable, supportive and essential for us and we couldn't be without it now. I am so grateful to the team.

Home Instead started caring for my parents at the beginning of the year. I honestly don't know what we would have done as a family without them over this past year.

Both parents have had their health challenges including a broken ankle, broken hip with mixed dementia in the mix. The carers, office support and manager have been a constant, reliable support throughout this time. Always capable and totally professional in their approach. I feel that they go above and beyond and I will be forever grateful to them. Just knowing that they are going in to visit on a daily basis means that we have that additional peace of mind which has made such a difference especially with our own pressures of work and family commitments. Keep doing what you are doing as you are a fantastic team.

Overall Experience

Home Instead have been providing care for my mum over four days a week, since the beginning of September. The care professionals who have assisted Mum have been brilliant! They have certainly made a difference to the quality of her life and of course, they have been invaluable in regards to easing the pressure and stresses felt by my sister and myself, when due to work and our own family commitments, we've been unable to be there for Mum during the days mentioned. They provided a wonderful service, thank you so much.

Home carers are in on the most part very caring and attentive, possibly some more training for some new staff until they adapt to the client, not sure if one shadowing is always sufficient. But overall the carers are excellent.

Overall Experience

After suffering a brain haemorrhage, my mum was unrecognisable. Her personality had completely changed. She was angry, and irrational and suffered from severe anxiety. We tried other care companies with no success until we found Home Instead. Finally, a care company who stay the full-time; who build relationships and have patience. They've been really flexible and we're so grateful.

Home Instead have been providing care for my mother for just over a year. In that time, she has received excellent service. All the carers that have visited have been kind, considerate, helpful and able to accommodate any requests my mother makes or any changes we have need to make to the care plan, including adding and removing medication. Also, all the office staff I have dealt with have been very helpful, keeping me informed if there have been any changes to Mum's care (e.g. change of carer due to sickness etc). All in all, I am very pleased with the service provided by Home Instead.

I have found all the carers to be extremely professional yet friendly and approachable. My name is Jenny I am the Registered Care Manager for Home Instead Basildon.

I have worked within the care industry for many years. And have been with Home Instead since 2015. Starting as a care professional. I was then promoted to Trainer/Field supervisor. In 2023 I completed my registration with CQC.

I am completing my level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

I went into care after caring for my grandfather. It was then that I realised the importance of providing care and support to enable people to stay in their own homes.

I truly believe in the ethos of Home Instead to 'Change the Face of Ageing' providing a truly individualised and holistic approach to allowing people to stay in their own homes where they feel happy and safe.

My name is Debbie and I am one of the owners of Home Instead Basildon. My background is in nursing, having worked for over 35 years in the NHS, specialising in the care of people with cancer.
