Overall Experience

My carers are always on time, and friendly and complete my service efficiently and with everything as it should be. They listen to my needs. I am happy with the care I receive and would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care.

Overall Experience
From the first interaction with Home Instead, I have been reassured about their care and commitment to all their clients. I had several calls with the manager who answered messages and emails at all times of the day, showing me that she cared for her clients not only during office times but 24/7.
There were some hiccups at the start but Home Instead work as a team and together they sorted the problems out efficiently and effectively.
My aunt is their client and she soon formed a lovely relationship with all her carers and seeing her happy and talk about them reassured me I had made the right decision.
I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead, they have been nothing but perfect and when I have been in need of help they have also been there for me and provided solutions to the issues that have arisen.

The manager can be proud of all her team, they have certainly transformed my aunt's life and I am truly grateful to them all.

Home Instead have provided care for my dad for greater than 12 months.

All staff are amazing, very helpful, and respond quickly to enquiries. The care staff that visit my dad are all really good and always complete what’s required. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for care services for themselves or a relative. They also have a well-organised back office team and the manager acts quickly on requests. In a difficult time for my dad, they have all certainly really helped. Thank you.

Overall Experience

I am happy with the care company that provide care for my wife. Timekeeping is very good with occasionally prearranged changes that I can accept. The staff in the office are always prepared to help with any enquiry and the carers who attend my wife are very helpful, patient, reassuring and competent. My wife trusts the carers fully and is very pleased with the way they look after her.

Overall Experience

Because I had a fall, I needed help quickly. Home Instead had a person here in three days. They never send anyone you haven't been introduced to. They arrive on time (traffic permitting) and stay the full-time. They are always cheerful and no situation seems to worry them. Ready to chat. Make a good cup of tea using leaves.

Overall Experience
Aunt lives alone and the family live over 200 miles away, so decided to put a companion service in place in May 2022. Best decision we took. Home Instead offers a very professional and emphatic, bespoke service for their clients. Aunty was ideally matched to a care provider and is always introduced to any new staff. We are extremely pleased with the care Aunt receives and the staff are very caring and we feel go above and beyond in caring for our aunt. We have noticed a marked improvement with not only her health and hygiene but her well-being. She particularly enjoys the days out to the garden and shopping centres.
The app is just brilliant, as living so far away we can log in and see a concise report of the service provided.

It's a big relief for us as a family, as we know Aunt is receiving kindness, care and stimulation. Thank you all so very much.

Overall Experience

The caregivers are mostly pleasant and friendly but I get cross when a cup, dish or plate is not on the draining board that I can reach when I'm on my own. Also when caregivers throw something away they sometimes don't tell me or ask me if they can.

Excellent service both at the management level and at the caregivers level. Easy, approachable and accommodating office staff. The caregivers are well trained, kind, helpful and respectful of the client's dignity. Two members of staff in particular are absolute stars.

My wife is a client and requires constant care. She suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is confined to bed. My wife has been in the care of home instead since July 2020. During this time there have been eight carers of which two have covered over 90% of the time. Of the two, one carer, in particular, stands out, having given over 80% of consistent care time. she has been and continues to be exceptional, in every day. It is for the care and dedication of this person, that I base my relevant choices

As dad has become more and more in need of help, so our wonderful carers and the amazing team at the office have constantly stepped up to give us the help, advice and support we need. We would not have been able to go on looking after Dad in his home without Home Instead. Everybody I have ever dealt with has been unfailingly kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

We cannot thank enough the whole team at Home Instead Basildon for the wonderful service they have provided for our brother over the past year. The Caregivers have gone above and beyond to ensure that he was safe, reassured and listened to. It is with heavy hearts that we have now had to make the difficult decision to move him into permanent care, but Home Instead’s excellent service has allowed him to stay in his own home for as long as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to give families peace of mind that their loved ones are being treated with the utmost respect and care.

Mum has care twice a day, personal care, medication, food prep, basic home cleaning, dementia care and befriending too at times.
Mum has had this level of care for almost a year and we can clearly see improvements to Mum's health and wellbeing.
I spent the week with Mum and continued with Home Instead care to keep continuity for Mum as I feel it helps with early-stage dementia.
There is no other care.

I have met all of Mum's carers this week and am so happy that Home Instead have such a lovely team of ladies working with Mum. I think they are brilliantly matched to Mum and now I can match a face to their daily client reports portal which is a great addition to the service. I feel content, grateful and happy reading Mum's portal at my 70-mile distance. Keep up the good work ladies, you are really appreciated!

Overall Experience

Keeps Dad safe at home and gives him company and conversation. It is peace of mind for my brother and I. They picked up when he was unwell - he ended up in hospital.

Jenny Knight

My name is Jenny I am the Registered Care Manager for Home Instead Basildon.

I have worked within the care industry for many years. And have been with Home Instead since 2015. Starting as a care professional. I was then promoted to Trainer/Field supervisor. In 2023 I completed my registration with CQC.

I am completing my level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

I went into care after caring for my grandfather. It was then that I realised the importance of providing care and support to enable people to stay in their own homes.

I truly believe in the ethos of Home Instead to 'Change the Face of Ageing' providing a truly individualised and holistic approach to allowing people to stay in their own homes where they feel happy and safe.

My name is Debbie and I am one of the owners of Home Instead Basildon. My background is in nursing, having worked for over 35 years in the NHS, specialising in the care of people with cancer.
