Home Instead Basildon is a friendly family owned local care provider dedicated to providing high quality, person centred care to enable people to stay in their own homes. The team offer companionship, home help and personal care and live in care, and specialise in a wide range of more complex needs such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other dementias.

Along with their Care professionals, they take great pride in delivering quality care within the home, preventing the need for relocation, at the same time as ensuring clients feel their dignity and privacy is respected. Calls are a minimum of one hour which is very important for the quality of care provided.

All Care professionals have outstanding training including specialist training in Parkinson's, End of Life Care and Dementia.

All their clients have a wellbeing check on every call to ensure continuity of their care.

The friendly caregivers and staff at Home Instead Basildon have been a pleasure to deal with. They have supported both us a family and our mum who has been receiving care as she progresses through the stages of Alzheimer's. In particular, thank you to the staff.

I cannot fault the care my dad gets, his carer has become a good friend and nothing is too much trouble for her. The company keeps in regular contact with regular reviews on his care plan.

My wife is a client and requires constant care. She suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is confined to bed. My wife has been in the care of home instead since July 2020. During this time there have been eight carers of which two have covered over 90% of the time. Of the two, one carer, in particular,
stands out, having given over 80% of consistent care time. she has been and continues to be exceptional, in every day. It is for the care and dedication of this person, that I base my relevant choices

As dad has become more and more in need of help, so our wonderful carers and the amazing team at the office have constantly stepped up to give us the help, advice and support we need. We would not have been able to go on looking after Dad in his home without Home Instead. Everybody I have ever dealt
with has been unfailingly kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

We cannot thank enough the whole team at Home Instead Basildon for the wonderful service they have provided for our brother over the past year. The Caregivers have gone above and beyond to ensure that he was safe, reassured and listened to. It is with heavy hearts that we have now had to make the difficult
decision to move him into permanent care, but Home Instead’s excellent service has allowed him to stay in his own home for as long as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to give families peace of mind that their loved ones are being treated with the utmost respect and care.

Mum has care twice a day, personal care, medication, food prep, basic home cleaning, dementia care and befriending too at times.
Mum has had this level of care for almost a year and we can clearly see improvements to Mum's health and wellbeing.
I spent the week with Mum and continued with Home Instead
care to keep continuity for Mum as I feel it helps with early-stage dementia.
There is no other care.
I have met all of Mum's carers this week and am so happy that Home Instead have such a lovely team of ladies working with Mum. I think they are brilliantly matched to Mum and now I can match a face to their daily client reports portal which is a great addition to the service. I feel content, grateful and happy reading Mum's portal at my 70-mile distance. Keep up the good work ladies, you are really appreciated!

Keeps Dad safe at home and gives him company and conversation. It is peace of mind for my brother and I. They picked up when he was unwell - he ended up in hospital.

My husband has been poorly since the beginning of 2021, so his ongoing care has been more of a challenge to me. Without the kindness and support of his carer our lives would have been greatly impaired. I cannot speak highly enough for the caring support that has been provided by his regular carer. She
has allowed me a little respite through this difficult time. I am extremely grateful for her daily visits which gives me comfort that my husband is continuing to receive great care. Thank you!

I have found my experience of the agency very good indeed over the past 11 months. The three days per week which I need her help for she keeps my house clean and tidy, she helps me have a shower and gets me dressed, we go shopping once in the week. She will help out when I get into difficulties on the
computer. We have discussions and laughs about things. I especially like the fact that if my regular caregiver is away the agency will send someone else. Also, I am very pleased that my caregiver just kept working through the Covid crisis.

We have had an excellent experience with Home Instead caring for my mum. The service they provide is first class. Mum has a principal carer who looks after her so well and has become an important part of her life. The other carers, who look after her on the staff members days off, are all very good
too. Mum trusts them to provide the personal care she needs. And they are exceptional in being prepared to cook her meals from scratch. They always arrive on time and are a key part of her daily routine.

We have been with this company for approx 2 years and have found them very reliable. I like that mum has the same core of 2 carers that come each time and she gets to know them and enjoys chatting to them.
Any potential new carer is always introduced to her alongside her known carer before they come.
The ladies treat mum with total respect and brighten up her day. They do basic personal care and light housework.
I am very happy to leave mum knowing they are coming in. The office staff are very helpful if any changes need to be made and are supportive of family.
The new app is working very well and I can access it when I am away from home to check mum is ok. I would and have recommended them to anyone needing a carer to allow their family member to carry on living independently.

My mother is a very proud lady and at 90 has accepted she needs help with her shower routine twice a week. Her carer has been extremely sensitive to her privacy and is very helpful and kind. The company itself has been very helpful and flexible when we have had to cancel four hospital appointments.

My name is Jenny I am the Registered Care Manager for Home Instead Basildon.


I have worked within the care industry for many years. And have been with Home Instead since 2015. Starting as a care professional. I was then promoted to Trainer/Field supervisor. In 2023 I completed my registration with CQC.


I am completing my level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.


I went into care after caring for my grandfather. It was then that I realised the importance of providing care and support to enable people to stay in their own homes.


I truly believe in the ethos of Home Instead to 'Change the Face of Ageing' providing a truly individualised and holistic approach to allowing people to stay in their own homes where they feel happy and safe.
