Home Instead Basildon is a friendly family owned local care provider dedicated to providing high quality, person centred care to enable people to stay in their own homes. The team offer companionship, home help and personal care and live in care, and specialise in a wide range of more complex needs such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other dementias.

Along with their Care professionals, they take great pride in delivering quality care within the home, preventing the need for relocation, at the same time as ensuring clients feel their dignity and privacy is respected. Calls are a minimum of one hour which is very important for the quality of care provided.

All Care professionals have outstanding training including specialist training in Parkinson's, End of Life Care and Dementia.

All their clients have a wellbeing check on every call to ensure continuity of their care.

The care provided for Mum and Dad is extremely good and personalised to their needs.
There is always someone at the end of the phone to discuss any problems or changes.

Found carers very helpful, approachable and could not cope without them. My mother would certainly be in a home if it wasn't for them. They take her out, ensure that she has eaten, play music and generally have fun. This makes my life so much more stress-free on occasions I know they are there.

Since mum's been having care twice a day, she has got into a routine and been more stable.
She enjoys the carers going in, even for a chat about the good old days.
I do not worry as much now as I know she is being looked after and any problems they phone the office to let myself know. Very well done.

Carers very kind and considerate. Take time to talk to my mum and do not rush her at any time. Carers prompt and reliable and always inform me of any concerns they have. I trust them and feel they really care about my mum.

We are very pleased with the service the ladies give. We lost our mother last summer and they were lovely to her and now I am very happy that they go into my dad twice a day. It's so important that he has that company and I know he isn't alone.

I have never had problems in dealing with this care provider. The lady who visits us and provides companionship for my wife has built an excellent relationship with her
and my wife regards her as a friend. She also does some housework for us and does this to a very high standard. In all, I am very
satisfied with the services of this care provider.

As a family, we have received the best care for our mother who has dementia. This is our first experience of care. The carer that lives locally to our Mum, she was her main caregiver. She has done so much for Mum, taken her shopping, to her lunchtime club, to her hospital appointments when a family
member could not take her, stayed with her when she was in hospital, was very patient with her. They have become very good friends. The company have been very helpful in advising different things that Mum might be entitled to, they are very easy to approach, very polite, should a care need to be cancelled no problems with doing that. When they first visited they were not in your face pushing you to take them, they advised everything in a very simple manner, you know what you are paying for no hidden extras. We as a family are very pleased with everything that has been given by them for the last 6 months and hope that this will continue. If Mum is happy then we are happy.

My family used the services for my grandparents across February-May this year and I have nothing but the highest praise for the service. From the initial introduction, the management and the staff looking after my grandparents were incredible. They understood our needs and they were so flexible in terms
of ensuring that we had cover even when we made very last minute changes and requests. They treated my grandmother with respect and built up a strong friendship with her so quickly that they made her feel comfortable and secure in their company.
I would recommend the service to anyone.

Home Instead Senior Care management, office staff and above all- carers, provide a caring and responsive service. The client has dementia and they are always patient with her and communicate effectively with us. I have recommended this service to friends and colleagues as the staff are trained and operate
to a high standard. We could not manage to keep the client at home without their support.

My partner and I were going to Cornwall for a week and needed someone to make sure my 96-year-old father was OK. He is fiercely independent so we need to involve his wonderful doctor in recommending a company that would help dad but also maintain the illusion of doing nothing for him!! Home Instead
teamed dad up with a lovely lady who did exactly as he asked and she is now continuing to visit him twice a week. This has eased a great deal of pressure from me as dad is not always the easiest person to deal with. It is still early days but hopefully this new relationship will continue to flourish.

Home Instead Senior Care have been excellent, always punctual and provide a very high degree of care, especially towards those service users with dementia. They are always on the end of a phone and also able to cover at short notice. I also like the one to one approach which works with mum who can be
isolated when meeting strangers. First Class.

The agency has been very efficient and professional in it's dealings with me. They go out of their way to meet our needs and their carers have all been delightful. All the ladies do their best to help mum. They are kind, affectionate to her and patient regarding her Alzheimer's.

Having now used Home Instead caregivers for approximately one and a half years I can honestly say that the caregivers they have sent have been matched to suit my mother. I can rest assured my mother is in good hands and that they treat her with respect and dignity. Nothing gives me more pleasure hearing
the laughter that comes from my mother's annexe. They are attentive to her needs, that are many and have lovely calm natures. Recently, my mother had a fall and when the caregiver arrived they were totally supportive and calmed my mother until the ambulance arrived. Also, I have had instances where they have noticed slight problems that can be addressed before getting worse.

Dad's two caregivers treat dad with kindness and respect. Dad looks forward to their visits. Not only do the girls shower and shave dad, they do shopping, housework, washing/ironing, collect prescriptions and take him to doctor's appointments. It is very reassuring to know that dad is well looked after,
as I live some distance away and work full-time myself.

My name is Jenny I am the Registered Care Manager for Home Instead Basildon.


I have worked within the care industry for many years. And have been with Home Instead since 2015. Starting as a care professional. I was then promoted to Trainer/Field supervisor. In 2023 I completed my registration with CQC.


I am completing my level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.


I went into care after caring for my grandfather. It was then that I realised the importance of providing care and support to enable people to stay in their own homes.


I truly believe in the ethos of Home Instead to 'Change the Face of Ageing' providing a truly individualised and holistic approach to allowing people to stay in their own homes where they feel happy and safe.

My name is Debbie and I am one of the owners of Home Instead Basildon. My background is in nursing having worked for over 35 years in the NHS specialising in the care of people with cancer.
