Care company are very approachable, have great availability & communication with care user & family

Carers are very kind, arrive on time, follow the care plan instructions however they respond & respect mums opinions adjusting the care plan as appropriate .

I cant recommend HomeInstead enough. All the staff are professional, kind and friendly. Mum enjoys their visits and they are a huge help. The office staff are always available and very helpful and professional. All the staff are amazing.

My Father was one of the first clients they had! From start to finish they treated Dad with the utmost dignity and respect! He adored his carers especially one who I'm not sure I'm allowed to name but I will! lol! Toni! He always said she was his friend not just a carer! however, the rest of the team were also brilliant with him. They would accommodate last minute call outs, and never let me down! I live in Lincolnshire, Dad was in Halstead so I needed a company that I could trust and rely on. I cannot recommend them enough. Sadly my Father passed away in November. Who is sadly missed but I know he can rest in peace and I can have peace knowing how much he was looked after by Mike and his amazing team! Thank you to everyone. X

Generally pleased with the service received from the agency both in the manner in which the office has dealt with updates etc and the quality of the care staff.

My parents have benefitted from having care from your agency. The difference it has made to my Dad in having care is significant and the respite it has given Mum is also significant.

When Mum moved from Home Instead in Hertfordshire to Suffolk, we assumed we would find another branch locally to continue the high standards of care we had been accustomed to. Sadly in the Haverhill area this is not the case and whilst there are many branches around, none covered this area. It was really worrying, until the fabulous team in Braintree under the wonderful management, came to our rescue. They adopted a real 'can do' attitude right from the start, despite their boundary being nearly an hour from Mum's new house. With some jigging of personnel, they found a lovely carer to care of Mum and she made the long round trip twice a week and we could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate person. Mum loves her to bits. The difference with this branch is they will bend over backwards to help you, and we could not have moved and settled Mum without their support. If I could lift their branch up and move them to Haverhill I would!! Would not hesitate to recommend

When my Mothers friend and carer had to leave very suddenly I was left facing the impossible task of trying to find a care company I could trust to help her. Home Instead were amazing they helped us through the process as we do not live nearby and had little background information on her needs. From managers to care staff everyone has been so dedicated and caring and Mum saw them more as companions than carers. Everyone acted in my Mums best interests and could be trusted with every aspect of her care from personal care to cleaning shopping hospital and doctors appointments. I would recommend them to anyone seeking help for a relative as they provide a very high quality and caring service.

Mum has been receiving care visits from Home Instead since she had a hip replacement and found taking care of the house and herself more difficult, and was also showing signs of memory problems.
The hour-long visits help her to begin her day and it's nice for her to chat with the carers as well. Having visits from the same team members helps her with continuity and knowing who to expect.
They have helped us with household emergencies in the last few weeks, as well as calling the ambulance and staying with her until it arrived when she had had a bad fall in August and the carer had found her on the floor when she arrived.

The team managers are responsive and flexible, arranging extra visits when I was recently away on holiday and couldn't visit and help Mum as I would do normally. The app is brilliant, so much better than a paper file that I can't see unless I'm in her house with her, which is what we had with another care provider we used in the past.

Overall Experience
The whole end to end process with Home Instead Braintree is very professional and they really do care about you and your needs.
They do an onsite visit to meet you and establish your requirements.
They match you with the care givers.
The lovely ladies that helped me to recover from my surgery were great, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond.

Very satisfied with the service from the Home Instead team, they have helped out many times at short notice which we are all thankful for. My dad is very comfortable with their help. Overall the family are very happy with the service provided.

I contacted Home Instead Braintree last year to investigate home care and companionship for my parents.
I honestly don't know how my parents or we as a family would have coped over the last year had we not had the unbelievable care and support from the Home Instead team.
Right from the start the service was excellent. The owner and the team came over the day after I first called them and immediately understood my parent's needs regarding care and companionship and managed the meeting with respect and sensitivity towards my parents who were just at the point of accepting that they did need some help. As an outcome of the meeting, a fantastic care plan was implemented exactly as we had agreed.
Over a year later, my parents have built a terrific relationship with every single team member of Home Instead Braintree. The owner and the team have stepped in many times and gone way beyond what we would have ever expected.

We wholeheartedly recommend them.

We would recommend Home Instead 100%. The management and carers are excellent. Assessment visits are thorough and suggestions taken and acted upon. The carers are matched to Mum's interests and will chat, encourage and gently cajole Mum to exercise and chat.

The Home Instead team have Mum's best interests at heart and treat her with immense dignity and kindness. Thank you.

We have been working with Home Instead for many months to care for our father who has been living alone at home with dementia. I unequivocally recommend them. All of his carers have helped him live with dignity as well as enriching his life. They've made an effort to get to know his likes and dislikes so they'll put on music and television programmes that they know he'll enjoy and even allow him to teach them French! They've shown interest in his hobbies and regularly review a family photo album with him to aid his memory. They conduct regular review meetings and have advised us again and again on topics as broad as toilet seat colours and features we should look out for when selecting a care home. They also liaised with a local church to arrange for my father to be taken to a lunch club which I believe is totally above and beyond what I would have expected for their remit. The app is amazing as the carers document each and every visit.

The service offered and carried out by the care staff and management is excellent. My mum is very lucky to have been able to have their specialist care.

The ladies from Home Instead who come to care for mum three times a day are amazing. They are so kind, caring, polite, patient and professional. They really are wonderful. We receive daily feedback about mum's visits and noting is too much trouble. We cannot fault them and would highly recommend them.

My elderly father has been using Home Instead since summer 2022 and the service has been excellent. At the initial meeting, the directors and managers took time to find out exactly what his needs and interests were and since then they have kept in close contact to ensure that we are happy with the service including regular reviews as well as suggestions as to how they can improve things for him. The ladies who visit him three times a week are kind, caring, patient and attentive to his needs. He looks forward to their visits very much. Home Instead keeps in close communication in the event of any changes due to staff sickness etc and the continuity of care is excellent. The app they use is very useful and details every visit made. My father's mental as well as physical well-being has improved greatly since starting with Home Instead and I would recommend them highly.

We have been very happy with the service provided and so is my mother. The ladies I have met when at my mum's have been lovely. They do an excellent job and what we like is they don't wear a uniform so it seems like friends visiting.

I came across Home Instead when looking for someone to provide regular companionship for him, who is in residential care with dementia.
Home Instead has been magnificent in the last year, some specific examples are:
from the outset, the Home Instead director had very close contact with myself (who has the greatest knowledge), so that he could gain an understanding of my friend's needs, interests and cognitive ability, thus tailoring a specific programme for visits. There was much attention to detail and a genuine interest in my friend. We have regular reviews to note changes.
Information about the client/visits is held in an app which is easy to use and constantly updated.
Continuity is brilliant, always the same person, always punctual, and l am always informed of any changes to the timetable. Immediate feedback on how my friend is, especially if any matters of concern are detected both to myself and the care home.

I cannot recommend this company enough, hence a 5-star rating throughout.

I came to the Home Instead Braintree, Sudbury, and Colne Valley office with over 30 years in the care industry. I have worked in both care homes and domiciliary care and my varied experience have taught me that enabling older people to stay in their own home is a hugely rewarding job.
I have lived in Essex all my life and more recently in Braintree and am very proud to have helped some of our clients engage in community events again after such a long lockdown.

I lead our team of Care Professionals in an open, honest, and transparent way and strive to give them the support they need to deliver outstanding care.
