Care Professionals support older people so that they are able to stay in their own homes and live independently.
Why is it unique?
- Minimum of a one hour call to 24/7 care. Home Instead does not believe proper care can be provided with '15 minute calls'.
- Home Instead matches the client with the Care Professionals so that wherever possible the same Care Professional Team sees the same client.
- All staff have go through a thorough recruitment process and have detailed induction training, followed by training throughout the year.
- Home Instead specialises in dementia care and Live-in care.
Services include companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care and specialist dementia support.
Home Instead regards it as a special privilege to look after people with varying needs and conditions, with compassion and empathy.
Some clients receive two hours of housekeeping help a week, while for others 24-hour specialist dementia support is required. Others may only require help during a family break or respite period.
The services are completely adaptable and variable to suit client and family requirements.

We first used Home Instead for a short period last year to cover a holiday, and didn't hesitate to return when we needed a longer-term care package. Every carer has been consistently friendly, kind, and compassionate, which gives us huge peace of mind knowing our mum is being so well looked after....
We first used Home Instead for a short period last year to cover a holiday, and didn't hesitate to return when we needed a longer-term care package. Every carer has been consistently friendly, kind, and compassionate, which gives us huge peace of mind knowing our mum is being so well looked after. Any queries have been handled promptly and any issues resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The level of detail in the app is incredibly helpful - right down to knowing exactly what she has eaten and drunk each day. Securing care for a loved one can feel daunting, but our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.

We had Otega as a live in carer for my Mum who has dementia for 2 weeks and she was lovely with Mum, doing everything for her and learning to trust Otega. You could see how much Otega was naturally caring with my Mum and treated her very well and with the utmost patience too, thank you.

The two gents who do the 24 hour care are amazing. They both take care of David 100 per cent. They attend to all his needs and when I have gone to see David he is dressed immaculately. He is always clean and tidy.
They also do the housework and I must say it is the cleanest I ever saw it...

He is always clean and tidy. They also do the housework and I must say it is the cleanest I ever saw it since David started using the service. They also take David out and recently the have taken him to his Church. David has settled in to being taken care round the click. If there is a problem they will let me know immediately.

While I am waiting for my spinal surgery, I have been receiving support from Home Instead Glasgow South, and it has really helped me manage day to day. Having someone come in during the week to help around the house has taken a lot of pressure off me, especially on the days when my back is more difficult. The carers are always warm, approachable, and easy to get along with, which makes a big difference. The office team are also very easy to contact and quick to respond, which makes everything run smoothly.
Overall, I feel much more supported and less worried knowing I have this help in place.

I used Home Instead Glasgow South following my hip replacement surgery, and I couldn't have asked for better support during my recovery. The Care Professionals were kind, patient, and very attentive, helping me with personal care as well as everyday tasks like shopping and household chores. Their support made a real difference and allowed me to recover comfortably and safely at home. Communication with the office and management team was excellent throughout-everything was clear, responsive, and easy to arrange, which gave me real peace of mind.
I always felt respected and well looked after, and I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone needing care at home.

Home Instead helped me with last-minute, short-term care need when my wife had to go abroad to visit her family. With my health issues, I struggled to keep on top of everything, and Home Instead removed that burden for me. After calling, they arranged a consultation at my home within a couple of days, and I was able to get help straight away. My carer took care of tasks around the house, picking up essentials for me, and helped relieve the stress and pain I was feeling trying to keep things running at home while I was on my own. I felt taken by surprise and a little depressed at realising my lack of independence, but the staff at Home Instead were incredibly nice, efficient, and made me feel looked after and never judged. Next time I need help to keep my life together, I won't hesitate to call them again.
For anyone out there looking for short-term or long-term support, I would highly recommend Home Instead.

Very pleased with the care provided to my Mum which allowed us to go on holiday for a week. The care provider put my Mum at ease from the start as it was the first time she had anyone outside of family caring for her. Nothing was too much trouble and the visit was long enough for her to do what was needed and also have a lovely chat. Have already booked in further visits to cover our upcoming holidays. Great service to allow families to have a break knowing their loved one is being well looked after.
