Don't use this company. I remember the Client lead of South Glasgow visiting our home making big promises and selling a dream of her staff who'd apparently free me up from my caring duties and they'd do things like "make a pot of soup" and "let me go for hobbies or a coffee and get me back to being me" Reality? Staff who turn up and do nothing for the hour or shout on me to assist them or leave me to do all the work - none of them brought the required PPE like aprons or gloves so I had to provide them. Final insult was the Service manager saying after an hour long meeting she agreed we'd had bad service and would sort it we're still weeks later receiving invoices for payments - Avoid avoid avoid. Zero stars for everything which the website doesn't allow!

I would absolutely recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care at home.

This has taken the stress off the family, we were constantly worrying about her managing since my dad died last year. It has helped us all get some balance back in our lives.

Also very flexible as Mum's needs have changed.

The carer was very professional and did the cleaning to a very high standard. I was very pleased. They also have a friendly manner and took the time to chat with me which was nice and very much appreciated. During my time with this agency I have had work done by three of their staff and they have all been very professional with a cheery manner. The office staff are easy to get on with and take time to understand my needs and how they could be matched to a member of staff. I feel valued by the office staff and the staff that come to visit me. They take the time to understand what I want and how I want it delivered. Nobody seems to rush but instead they get on with the work but take the time to talk to me and make me feel wanted. I gave them advanced notice that my care needs would change over the holiday period which allowed them to schedule additional visits. That worked well.

I live some distance from my mother, who was determined to live independently despite complex challenges, and I engaged Home Instead to visit her a few times a week to support her and came to rely on them from a distance. The agency offered her excellent care, in often challenging circumstances, and kept in touch with me regularly to keep me informed about my mother's needs as they developed and stepped in to support when I reported my own observations to them. She formed close bonds with her carers and they repeatedly thought of new and interesting ways to support her as her needs grew and demonstrated great kindness and patience. The agency was also incredibly supportive to me, offering reassurance and assistance from a distance, when my mother's situation grew more difficult to manage after two years, including tailored ways to continue supporting her. Based on our family experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Care for our elderly mother had to be arranged at short notice and Home Instead have provided an excellent service. The care team have been very efficient, friendly and helpful which has been reassuring both for our mother and ourselves.

My aunt started out resistant to even having carers coming in. But she was won over by their gentle care and genuine concern for her. All of the carers were lovely and under their care, she thrived. They all went the extra mile to see to her needs before leaving. And when incidents arose outside her care sessions, nothing was too much for Home Instead to sort out in a calm and caring way to avoid drama and to make things simple for her family who lives very far away. When she fell and had to be admitted to the hospital, one of the staff stayed with her for hours until she was admitted to the hospital, even though there were the usual inevitable delays. I can't recommend them highly enough.

As an elderly person living alone, I have been very happy with the support provided by Home Instead carers. Nothing is too much trouble for them, whether helping with household tasks or taking me out for appointments, shopping or just for coffee and cake! Everyone is helpful and friendly and I really look forward to their visits.

Very happy with Home Instead. They took time to find out what type of care was needed with a personal visit. Tried to send the same two carers when possible which makes a great difference. Would use them again.

We are absolutely delighted with the care team at Home Instead. My mum has excellent carers, some of whom go above and beyond to ensure she has the best life possible. I cannot recommend them highly enough and am very grateful for the care and support they provide.

My experience of the standard of care and expertise regarding this company is gathered from my contact with the company over the last two years. I am my wife's main carer, and therefore, careful to ensure her welfare at all times. I am therefore able to state that despite difficulties encountered with the Covid period, Home Instead have made every endeavour to maintain a regular professional standard. Whenever any concerns are raised, they make every effort to resolve them. As you can imagine, as an 86 year old, this has lifted a great weight of my shoulders in being able to have confidence, knowing my wife is well cared for.

I am extremely delighted with my Caregiver, very professional and, is a "breath of fresh air". Gets on very well with my husband too. I have been allocated a named contact, in order to keep up-to-date with any changes.

I use Home Instead to provide care for my mum and husband. I cannot praise the carers enough. Each and every one of them are fantastic and I know they truly care about my mum and husband and want the best for them, as I do. It’s down to them with the support they provide to me as well, that I can keep my mum at home which is what she would want as well as our family and I couldn’t do it on my own. I would without hesitation recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care.

All carers have been extremely friendly and caring; they understand the needs of my husband. they seem to enjoy the activities and understand the limitations that my husband has. They are always punctual, and my husband looks forward to their visits.

We moved to Home Instead after being unhappy with the care provided by another agency. We are extremely impressed by all the carers from Home Instead. They really care and go the extra mile. They have engaged with Mum and have brightened her days. The level of care is very high. All caregivers are well trained and operate to high standards. No shortcuts, they take pride in their work, take their time and do their best. They think of new things to do with Mum and alert me to anything that is needed. They have been in place for nearly 2 years and the care and service is as good as it was on day 1. They have a consistent team of carers looking after Mum which leads to a high level of care. The ladies in the office are extremely efficient and helpful. They support the carers and pop in to see how things are going. There is excellent communication between them, the carers and us. I feel that the well-being of Mum is at the centre of everything. I highly recommend them.

Mum has been using the service for a couple of months now, and it is working very well with the visits providing her focus and reassurance if she needs help she knows someone will definitely be there soon. The team are delightful, friendly and chatty and Mum really looks forward to their visits, sometimes to help with tasks but importantly to have a chat and a cup of tea with. Knowing the team are seeing Mum daily also provides us, her family, with reassurance as we all live far apart and unfortunately cannot be with Mum as much as we would like.
