I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Home Instead care agency in Bexhill. Over the last couple of years the guidance and support we have received and the care provided to Mum has proved invaluable in ensuring that, with appropriate support, Mum can continue to live independently in her own home, which is her preferred choice. None moreso than currently during the absence of Mum's long term cleaning lady for 4 weeks, whilst visiting her Daughter in Australia! One of Mum's regular carers signed up for extra hours to fill the breach, and has fulfilled that role seamlessly along with her regular care duties. At 89 and virtually housebound, the thought of change in routine can be extremely unsettling and challenging for our loved ones and that in turn affects those around them, leading to what can be a very difficult time for all involved. In the event Mum has benefited from the reassurance provided by her carer, as have we knowing that she is well-cared for and content.

Our family contacted Home Instead Bexhill when we became worried about my aunt. She lives alone in England and we are all in Canada. We were able to set up daily visits with care pros who helped her organize her day and her meals, made sure there was food in the fridge, helped her sort her mail, administered medications, accompanied her to health appointments, and helped her get out for various social times with friends. Sometimes all that was needed was a shared cup of coffee and a natter, and that was just fine. We were very happy with the service. The care pros were friendly and punctual, and were always willing to do the various things that needed doing to help my aunt live a full and active life. We especially liked being able to see the activities of each day, and how my aunt was faring, through the client portal. We would certainly recommend this service to others in our situation.

The Home Instead team have been a pleasure to deal with. They provide excellent home care for my parents enabling them to stay living independently in their own home. The carers have been chosen carefully and they get on very well with my parents. They carry out two visits a day and give them their medication. They help with general household chores and spend quality time chatting to my parents demonstrating great listening skills. The carers update the webpage at every visit which we can access to monitor my parents care and needs. This is an excellent service which has been a lifesaver for us all. We have been using Home Instead for quite a while now and are delighted with their approach. The carers are always gentle, attentive, thoughtful and caring. The management is able to react to a request for more help in good time and they have never let us down.

Home Instead have been supporting my father over the last three plus years. Their Care Professionals are extremely well matched according to my fathers needs and all have been consistent in their high standards of care. They treat my father and myself with dignity and respect, carefully listening to all his needs and my requests - of which there are many, due to the high standards that I require.

Communication between the Care Professionals is live and kept up-to-date, I therefore do not keep having to repeat myself. I cannot fault any one of them during this whole period, they are a pleasure to have here. The care plan is constantly updated due to his health, deterioration and needs which are changing rapidly. Occasionally in the past, communication and changes to times have not always been 100%, but are much better of late.

I highly recommend Home Instead who are far superior to any other agency in this area.

Since engaging Home Instead a number of months ago, I have had peace of mind that someone is checking on my mum each week. It's a long round trip from where I live and Mum was getting worried about minor things which she couldn't explain. Now that Home Instead see her each week, they can put her mind at rest, as well as mine, and I have an extra pair of eyes on her to see how she is doing. My mum has always resisted having help and yet she always looks forward to the visit from Home Instead.

Home Instead have provided care for my mother over the last four years until she, at 97, had to go into residential care. Both my sister and I live in London so any emergency can take time to deal with. We have relied greatly on the help and experience of the CarePros at Home Instead and have never found them anything but professional, supportive and willing. We would not hesitate to recommend this dedicated group of people.

We used Home Instead to care for my mum for almost a year and they were absolutely fantastic. Mum was reluctant at first, but soon came to think of the care professionals as friends. They were all very kind and caring and nothing was too much trouble, often completing a phenomenal amount of tasks at each visit as well as friendship. We were kept fully informed about mum's care at all times. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Home Instead looked after my mum for many years when she was alive and now care for my stepdad. They always go above and beyond with the care they provide. I am alerted if there are any issues so I feel comfortable knowing that my stepdad is safe to remain in his own home, something that he needs for his overall wellbeing. I cannot praise the manager and the deputy and their caring team enough for the exceptional service they provided for my mum. Their kindness and care gave me the reassurance that she was getting the best support she needed. I highly recommend this excellent local service.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead. All staff displayed empathy, kindness and care and my partner immediately felt at ease and very happy to see them. All of the carers who came seemed to have been handpicked for these very qualities and it was the calibre of every single person we met from Home Instead that shone out!

Living a fair distance away from my parents was not always easy but being able to log in and check the daily care given meant I could see how they had been, giving me reassurance. When an emergency situation arose the appropriate prompt action was taken.

I chose Home Instead for my mum and her partners’ in home care at the beginning of 2022. My mum's health had severely deteriorated during the pandemic and I live in Boston, USA. After saving my mum's life, I knew I had to find care where we could all work as a team and I felt like the people I would be working with would become part of our family. The wonderful human beings I have got to know over the last year have exceeded my expectations- they are both friends and family to not just my mum and her partner but myself! The amazing Care Pros go above and beyond to not appear intrusive - it’s no easy task having people come into your home and follow a care plan. My mum has shown resistance at times but the Care Pros have always managed to work around any problem that has arisen and each and every one have formed a bond with my mum where she actually looks forward to seeing them every day.
