Home Instead (Milton Keynes)

Home instead provide overnight waking care for my husband two nights a week. The carers are exactly that caring. They are friendly, respectful and have made helpful suggestions regarding his care, such as recommending incontinence aids and a barrier cream to prevent possible pressure sores. We have regular carers that we have come to know well. Recently I have been unwell and Home Instead have been able to provide us with an extra nights care very promptly when requested.

We're very pleased with Home Instead & how Mum has settled in with her 'ladies'. Finally, if I need to call the office for any reason they are always very friendly, helpful & efficient :)

My husband was diagnosed at age 58 with a complex brain condition and a limited life expectancy but I was convinced I could manage this myself. 6 years later when friends and family were increasingly concerned about my ability to manage things my daughter basically staged an intervention and arranged an initial visit with Home Instead. From the very beginning it was like an invisible hand around my shoulder. No pressure, total empathy with my situation and 4 months later I cannot imagine life without our amazing carers who already feel like part of the family. The team are clearly very experienced and even when my husband has limited vocabulary it's clear to see how happy he is when they are here. Home Instead have allowed me to feel like a wife again, not a carer and I know as our journey progresses they will become increasingly important. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Since employing your services. My dad is far more engaged and interactive. The social interaction is proving to be essential for his mental heath and wellbeing. He speak highly and positively about his carers. That said, there have been more carers than we were expecting (8 or 9 so far) which could lead to his confusion as he ages, 3-4 would be ideal.

The other members of the team were amazing , kind, respectful and genuinely compassionate. My uncles wish to stay in his known home was honoured and the carers with him ensured he felt safe, comfortable and at ease - thank you.

We cannot thank the team enough for the incredible care, compassion, and support they have shown my nan. From day one, the carers have been nothing short of exceptional - always kind, attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in her wellbeing. They treat her with such dignity, warmth, and respect, and it's clear they truly care about the people they look after.

The love and care they have given her is second to none, and as a family, that means everything to us. Knowing she is in such safe and caring hands gives us huge peace of mind.

I also want to recognise the amazing office team, who have been an enormous support to us as a family. They are always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and help with anything we need. Their communication, understanding, and willingness to go above and beyond has made such a difficult journey so much easier.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a dedicated and compassionate team. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone look

We have been very impressed with the service provided. We needed support for my father in a short space of time and a team has been provided are so helpful, kind and professional. The 3 carers who visit across the course of a week have been consistently excellent. We can't fault the care that is being provided. It has provided such peace of mind to know that Dad is being so well cared for.

After 3 weeks, we are very happy with the care provided. Each carer brings their own personality to the role and adds companionship to the tasks that they carry out. Each is friendly and helpful in addition to demonstrating competency and professionalism.

Very happy with all aspects of the service provided, from initial contact in Jan 2026 through to current day, in my experience they have proved to be a highly professional and competent company. From my initial phone call to Home Instead, my concerns about having carers attend my father on a daily basis were met with compassion and understanding.

At the first home meeting we were advised on the options available. As we required help in tight deadlines, the company made arrangements for our care to start promptly.

The carers assigned to my dad are excellent and their personalities suit my dad perfectly. All the staff we have met have been kind, considerate and understanding.

The service we have all received from Home Instead has been excellent so far and I would highly recommend them.

The carers are building a relationship with my dad now and he now appreciates and enjoys his time with them.

Home Instead's Care Team first visited for Dad, to help him with showering and personal care 3 times a week. They worked slowly and professionally with him to gain his acceptance and trust. When Mum later became unwell they were on hand, able to step in at very short notice with extra visits and tasks, arranged efficiently in the office. They all went above and beyond, covering weekend hours and nights to make sure that the care she needed, in the limited time she had left with us, was provided. Dad's needs then increased and extra sessions again instantly met his requirements and our requests. A small, experienced, regular team visited and cared for him maintaining his acceptance of the additional help and support he now needed each day at a difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead and would like to say a big thank you to everyone for all the help they gave Dad, and Mum, during the last 18 months.

Neede help after hospital stay as I live alone. Service was excellent from my first phone call enquiry to saying goodbye to the lovely people who had helped me so much.I looked forward to their cheerful and friendly visits and they gave me so much support .

Also good to have the flexibility to change things as things come up.

I found my carer to be kind, friendly and very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble, and I looked forward to her visits.

Home Instead have been looking after my mum for some time now, they offer a great service, staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need to add additional time slots they will accommodate. They will do as little or as much as you need in terms of care, or just some companionship if that's all that's required. Would recommend to any one else that has an elderly parent or relative in need of assistance.

We are delighted with the way our lovely carer is relating to us. She is capable and confident in helping my husband to wash and dress and has an excellent manner. I have been learning from her by watching how to coax him to take his medication, clean his teeth etc. Her visits are a delight and I feel she is taking a load off my shoulders.
