View Full Details of Home Instead (Milton Keynes)Home Instead have been looking after my mum for some time now, they offer a great service, staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need to add additional time slots they will accommodate. They will do as little or as much as you need in terms of care, or just some companionship if that's all that's required. Would recommend to any one else that has an elderly parent or relative in need of assistance.
We are delighted with the way our lovely carer is relating to us. She is capable and confident in helping my husband to wash and dress and has an excellent manner. I have been learning from her by watching how to coax him to take his medication, clean his teeth etc. Her visits are a delight and I feel she is taking a load off my shoulders.
From the commencement of our involvement with Home Instead, being the initial fact finding phone call, our initial meeting with the Client Experience Lead, the care givers and the Service Review appointment, we have experienced professional, kind people, that gave my brother and myself the piece of mind that we have made the correct decision in having Home Instead involved with the care of our mother.
My mother has been a client of Home Instead for two years. The staff who visit have always been kind, considerate and professional. She can be difficult, but they treat her with care and dignity. The other staff are always helpful and organised. Sympathetic to change in the care plan and offers helpful advice. Again, very professional.
Good support when coming out of the hospital, guided to having reduced support gradually so that by the end of the booked service be able to manage by myself. Always cheerful and helpful. I appreciated the help when needed and all their excellent care. Thank you to all members of staff, including the office staff for the service provided.
The 3 carers in the team looking after my husband are all friendly, kind and efficient. Totally reliable and conscientious too. Home Instead organisers and office staff are helpful and cheerful, always willing to arrange additional help and visits if we need them. We are very glad we chose 'Home Instead'.
Home Instead responded quickly to my initial approach, gave clear details of their service, backed up by an introductory visit and good paperwork. Since then office response has been prompt and happy to answer queries. They also check regularly that the service I receive is what I want. My care giver is super. She is prompt, neat and polite. She respects my personal space and my "strange" ways of doing some things, and willingly responds to any tasks I need help with.
Your care staff are simply excellent. Ever ready to help in any way they can. Please can we know who is coming - if you cannot provide a rota (even if there are gaps) please phone so at least we know their name, and if this is their first visit, we are ready to show them around and explain what is to be done. I appreciate they have notes but it is showing where things are to be found.
After being treated poorly by another provider and let down on many occasions, I was very nervous about any new provider. However, Homestead soon put me at ease, ensuring I was happy and confident, even went above the call of duty when my old supplier just dropped my help at no notice, they stepped in to make sure I was ok. The introductory service was brilliant, ensuring all my needs were addressed, ensured I met all the carers first so no one was a stranger, they checked up ever day or so to make sure it was going well. First class. The Carers I have are fantastic, I wouldn't want anyone else. The support staff are just amazing, always there to help and assist when needed. Best thing I've done was move to Homestead.
The ladies who have been coming to me over the past several months have been superb. They do everything cheerfully and efficiently.
Can't fault Home Instead carers and managers. Both ladies that cared for my dad were really good and so kind to my Dad who is suffering from dementia and can be quite difficult at times. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about care in the home.
Home Instead staff always friendly and helpful. Always have time for my husband, never skimp on time. We are both very happy with the service and the staff we talk to in the office and see at our home.
The small team of carers have taken great care to understand my dad's needs and have turned him around from not wanting the service to wholeheartedly welcoming them. The app is really helpful in giving us details of how the visit went and communication with the office is responsive and efficient. As daughters, we can relax knowing his needs are being met and he is much happier now. We can be his daughters again.
We are very pleased with your service. Your staff are both friendly and professional and treat my mother with respect, office staff again are friendly and helpful and any changes to medication are dealt with promptly.
Home Instead were brought in to look after an elderly friend who was struggling to cope with some aspects of living alone, having recently lost his wife. They have been outstanding from the outset. All of the carers come across as friendly and patient and the staff behind the scene are excellent at updating me with any issues as they arise. The on-line app is easy to use and very useful in allowing me to monitor the visits, should I not have time to visit. I would certainly recommend their services without hesitation.
My mother loves having the same carer each week and looks forward to seeing her. She still sometimes says she doesn't need anyone but soon changes her mind when the carer arrives. I love being able to go out knowing that Mum is well looked after, is taken out to new and old places and does activities that I sometimes have not had time for. The weekly reports are so useful in keeping me up to date.
This is the first time we've had to care for someone with dementia. Home Instead have helped us navigate this and support us. The carers that attend to my father-in-law are understanding of his attempts to keep his independence and respect that. They help us as a family knowing that he is supported every day.
Very happy with the care provided to my mother. The carers come in every day and are always friendly and helpful. They help with dressing and washing and making cups of tea as well as any ad-hoc jobs. Everyone in the office is also helpful with any admin queries.
Home Instead, are caring for my mum who has mixed dementia. The ladies who come are wonderful as they treat Mum with compassion and respect. I can relax when I am away from the house, knowing that she is being looked after.
I was very nervous when I went into hospital, leaving my disabled husband on his own. But the excellent service given to him by the Home Instead care team meant that he was kept safe, and helped where necessary by pleasant, understanding people with none of the condescending attitudes that elderly people are sometimes faced with. On coming out of hospital and needing help myself, I was relieved to have people who coped with support stockings brilliantly and were willing to wash my legs and feet, being unable to do so myself. Each member of the team has impressed me: they are thoughtful, see what needs doing and do it, are willing to do anything I ask of them - and giving mealworms to the birds is not very pleasant! They arrive on time. They are interested in us but not intrusive. They are cheerful, and so quick around the house that I blink and a job is done. I hadn't realised how slow I'd got until I saw the care team sprint up and down the stairs.
