I first had Home Instead in December 2021. I was very unwell at that time. I moved house and carers from March 2022. I have always appreciated the care and understanding I have been given. The carers have always been cheerful, always on time been very helpful as I have recovered. They have become friends as we got to know each other.
We also pride ourselves on recruiting the right...
We have been with Home Instead for almost two years now and we constantly receive fantastic care and support from the team. They are very flexible ensuring that the right help is needed as circumstances change. The carers really do care for my mum and the front line team is backed up by a very helpful and knowledgeable administration team. I would highly recommend.
Very caring to my mother in law, understanding and support for the family.
Always happy to be flexible when we needed extra help.
A great team!

The Milton Keynes Home Instead are a wonderful caring team. I never had any worries regarding the care that was supplied and their reliability was even there during a pandemic. Problems were sorted and acted upon very quickly. You won't regret using Home Instead to care for someone you love.

Very professional and very caring. Really impressed with the level of care my mother formed very positive relationships with the carers who gave her the support she needed in order to allow her to continue living a semi-independent life. Home instead kept us informed of developments and issues surrounding my mother's deteriorating health. When my mother eventually required 24-hour residential care, such was the friendship bond with her carers, that she was visited by them in her care home.

We would thoroughly recommend Home Instead. From the very first meeting with Home Instead, we would tell that this was the right company for us. Their professionalism and caring approach to us and our Mum was just wonderful. The caring team were excellent and very adaptable to our ongoing needs. Sadly we had to terminate our contract as our Mum had a fall and is now in a care home. The cancellation process was also handled with sympathy and care - we can't thank you all enough for all your support.
I would highly recommend Home Instead.

My Mum who is 98 is very independent and stays in her own home, at her age assistance and companionship is a key thing, two years ago at the start of the pandemic and after taking advice from her medical centre we chose Home Instead to provide this care. It has been a great success for her with the carers she has coming to her home very reliable and sensitive to her needs. The issues with the pandemic continue for her but dialogue with her carers and their supervisor allows us to tweak the care as required.

I can thoroughly recommend the service that Home Instead provided for my mum. Thanks to the work of these professionals mum was able to stay independent and in her own home for as long as she possibly could. I knew that when the caregivers called in to visit Mum, I could relax and it eased the worry of would Mum be lonely that day or has she eaten, got up okay etc. The little walks they used to take Mum on also meant she was getting some fresh air and building up her mobility again. I am really thankful to the team for supporting Mum and if you are in need of a little support I can't recommend Home Instead enough.

I have been a full-time carer for my mum since February 2021 following her suddenly becoming very ill and subsequently being diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer. I moved in with Mum straight away and by June 2021. I was really struggling with my mental health, having had no real respite during that time. That's when I contacted Home Instead (Milton Keynes). From the beginning, Mum and I felt comfortable with the team. We just needed someone to pop in for a few hours every other weekend so I could have a proper break. The caregivers that have dealt with Mum since June 2021 have all been so lovely and kind. Home Instead also took care to limit the number of caregivers so Mum was seeing familiar faces each fortnight. The care provided has been a lifesaver to Mum and me during this incredibly difficult time for us and our family. I highly recommend Home Instead (Milton Keynes).

Home Instead (Milton Keynes) supported us both. They were flexible and responsive and I always felt that both the office team and the caregivers ‘had my back’. Unfortunately, my husband now needs 24-hour residential care but has settled well.
This has been the most intense and difficult period of my life, and Home Instead (Milton Keynes) got me through it. I highly recommend them.
I had a review on Monday 29th of November, very positive meeting. I was able to sort my times out for after Christmas. My care is now entirely in my hands which is good.
We were very satisfied with the service provided; they are professional, caring people, very respectful and efficient.
The brochure is somewhat misleading. I asked Home Instead for assistance feeling that if I needed more personal or dementia care in the future it would be good to have that under the same umbrella as home help services. I struggle with ironing, changing bed linen, and organising cupboards and wardrobes. One staff member said she wasn't a cleaner but a carer, another wasn't supposed to bend or stoop very much. I gave up after that. Whilst the staff were pleasant as I didn't need personal or dementia care services I feel rather let down.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. Please know that your situation was an exception. As you can see from our other reviews, we take pride in our work and are known for caring deeply about our clients.
Please feel free to reach out to our office with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share.
We have been very impressed with the service provided to our dad - especially in his final weeks. They were always encouraging, cheerful and supportive. They made a difference - in a positive way. In his final days, nothing was too much trouble, they certainly went the extra mile. Their help came at the right time for our mum and she was so grateful for everything they did.
Carers have been very kind and efficient, always on time and very helpful. My husband looks forward to the chats he has with them as he is housebound and sees very few people.
Overall very good and supportive.
First contact was in early 2017 when my late wife was ill - followed by myself from April 2018. A good relationship has resembled. Management respects my wishes to avoid any change of my two care ladies who are now good friends. Costs are high but it is good value for money spent - how about a discount for long-standing customers!
All the caregivers were wonderful. They were very caring of mum and looked after her so well. Mum enjoyed all the company and trips out with them all. Although they were hampered by Covid restriction. The Milton Keynes office were also very approachable and supportive when we needed to tweak hours to ensure mum never felt lonely. I would not hesitate in recommending their service.

Meet the Team (5)
My background is within the Hotel & Catering world, having run a Venue Finding Company for 20 years and prior to that working as a National Accounts Manager for a large chain of London Hotels. Service is in my blood, and when researching the Care Industry, I felt that this is a skill that would prove very useful.
I have lived near Olney for over 20 years with my husband Matt and 2 boys (now both young adults), lovely Phoebe, my Wheaten Terrier and 2 cats, Shadow & Mr Mugabe (he really is a dictator!) In my spare time, I love reading and walking in the lovely parks around our home.
Since starting up Home Instead in 2012, we have supported so many wonderful clients to facilitate their wishes to stay at home, wherever that may be, in the place they love or where they feel most comfortable. Getting help or admitting you might need some assistance isn't always an easy decision to make, but we have many years’ experience in the sector and know that choosing the right care is just so important. I do feel very proud of my team of office colleagues and CAREGivers who have embarked on this journey with me - we are always looking at ways we can improve and add another dimension to our wonderful clients' lives.
I started in Health and Social care 17 years ago, when I moved from London to Buckinghamshire. I had two small daughters and wanted something I could do as well as being a mum. Over the years, I have worked as a carer and run daycare centres for the elderly with the British Red Cross. I joined Home Instead in February 2012 when the office was first established. I have always been passionate about the good quality care that was central to each individual, and the Home Instead ethos matched this. When starting with Home Instead, I was the Registered Care Manager. As the company grew, I developed into the Operations Manager. More recently, I have been promoted to the General Manager of the company. I truly believe that we are the best home care company in our area, which has a passionate team in the office and out on the field. Whenever I get free time, I love to travel and embrace new experiences.
As a Care Manager, I am involved in most aspects of the daily delivery of our care services. From the moment we receive a new client enquiry, I will work together with the client and their family to put a plan in place that facilitates their individual needs.
Having over 10 years’ experience in the sector, initially supporting children before I moved into adult social care, I also deliver training to new CAREGivers, teaching them how to administer medication correctly and the principles of moving and handling.
I come from a large family, having 2 sisters and a brother. This makes my home life as busy as my work, as I'm currently living with my partner JJ, mum, dad, sisters, niece and 2 dogs, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
With a background in running pubs, I am used to having to juggle priorities, which is probably why I enjoy my role within the scheduling team so much. Ensuring that our clients get the right people at the right time every day takes dedication and commitment, but the rewards are well worth it. I know how important it is to the people we support to be sure that they can rely on us. Just that little phone call to let them know we are on our way, or that pint of milk we can get for them on our way over, can make all the difference. I still get to go out and see all my clients whilst being a mentor to new CAREGivers, making sure that they feel fully supported.
My role as Deputy Care Manager sees me heavily involved in scheduling visits and liaising with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals to ensure every aspect of their care runs smoothly. Coming from an airline background, delivering great customer service is at the heart of my nature. It’s very important for me to get to know each of our clients and CAREGivers personally. By fully understanding their needs, we can ensure that we respond quickly to any changes.
