Home Instead (Isle of Wight)

For a few months now, I have been attended by the caring staff of Home Instead, Isle of Wight. Their professionalism, consideration and efficiency is superb. I have nothing but praise for them all. I feel safe and well looked after in their very capable hands and know that their kindness will help me in moments of loneliness or fear. I cannot thank the wonderful staff of Home Instead enough.

Home Instead care for my 86 year old Mum, who is housebound, and we couldn't be more grateful. From the very beginning, they showed genuine professionalism and a real understanding of our needs. Everyone we've come into contact with, whether in the office or providing care, is kind, compassionate and highly skilled. Mum has formed wonderful relationships with her carers and speaks very fondly of them. I cannot recommend them highly enough - they are a very impressive team.

Whilst providing the essential care she needed, they took time to talk to her and she built up strong friendships and trust with the care givers. We cant thank them enough for the kindness and support they provided to my mother.

Home Instead have been amazing - I can't rate them highly enough. My 88 year old Mum has dementia, lives alone and is housebound - I live in Glasgow so things aren't easy! At the start Chloe talked us through care options and Mum's needs, we agreed on 1 weekly visit to start off with to get mum used to carers coming in. Once it became clear that Mum needed daily support this was started once a day, but it was obvious within a couple of days that Mum needed 2 visits each day, Chloe did these visits herself until capacity was available from other carers. I love the reassurance of having the app and seeing what Mum is doing and how she is. She loves all the carers and is really happy with them visiting despite being reticent to start with. I feel very confident that Mum is being very well looked after. Recently we had an issue with medication, again Chloe was on this and sorted it out. Thank you so much to all the carers, you give excellent care to Mum, and give us all peace of mind.

Now they are focused on my Dad's dementia care and they take a holistic approach to Dad's care and our family, making helpful suggestions, always approachable and seeking to make continual improvements.

We can not praise them enough, they have gone above and beyond. From helping with the complications with the other care company to stepping in offering us so much advice and support and making my auntie realise she has a sense of belonging. All of the team are friendly, approachable and caring. I couldn't ask for a better team to look after my family member.

I needed to talk to the manager about an appointment and some extra blood pressure readings for my sister. The person I spoke to was really helpful, understanding and patient. She arranged everything that was needed promptly and efficiently and confirmed by email. I was reassured that my sister was getting the care she needed and that the staff were clearly aware of her needs.

The carers have been amazing and she regards them as her friends.

All round professional service. Pleasant caring staff. Good communications. All office staff knew what was going on. Action always taken when medical issues arose. Carers built genuine relationships with my aunt and Uncle. Picked up prescriptions and odd food items. I would highly recommend Home Instead!

Cannot thank and rate the staff and the management enough. Would happily recommend to anyone needing the physical support with family members, which in turn helps the emotional and mental worry and stress that the need for care can bring.

Home Instead in Cowes, Isle of Wight have been a pleasure to deal with. They support my mother, who has dementia, to remain at home. She needs assistance with taking her medication and the care staff are excellent; they are gentle and caring with mum, they report any issues straight away and they liaise with the GP and pharmacy if there is a problem with prescriptions. Their admin systems are straightforward and the management seem very competent. It is very reassuring to know that they are there for mum and I would recommend them to anyone.

Home Instead (Isle of Wight) have been providing care 4 times per day for a 94 year old lady with dementia for many years. The carers are kind, thoughtful and professional. The Management are also absolutely excellent and regularly go way beyond the "call of duty" e.g. sorting out ancillary issues of home ownership (which I am unable to provide as I live on the mainland). They always have the patient's best interests at heart (unlike my experience with another local Isle of Wight provider). Exceptional and very highly recommended.

Following a hip revision which was not successful and a cancer diagnosis I need care both domestic and personal. Home Instead provides both my needs with carers who are sympathetic to my needs on the days they come. They are cheerful and uplifting, really helpful and well trained in all their tasks. I particularly liked that all new carers are introduced on their first visit and shown any special requests without me having to keep repeating this. My ironing is done to a better standard now too! I really look forward to their visit. Thank you Home Instead.

I can really see the difference in the quality of service compared to other homecare providers. The carers are providing in my opinion a more homely approach and more efficient service to provide better care and a happier home. My personal experience of other providers, historically, has been a service that just ticks the bare minimum (and often leaving calls early) in which I thought that was the only option there was to support someone to continue in living at home and all providers appeared to be the same. I was wrong, Homeinstead staff ensure the welfare of the client more and will encourage clients or give them ideas to make the client's welfare and health better. They also support in keeping the home clean, fresh and tidy. It's a relief to me that my neighbour has such lovely staff, she is happier and I can relax knowing her wellbeing is truly being looked after, I'm smiling too!

We cannot fault the care and support the Home Instead team has provided to Mum. The daily care has enabled Mum to happily and safely remain in her own home. She appreciates greatly the companionship, alongside professional care provided.

We have been more than delighted with our experience with Home Instead. The staff and management have been kind, and reassuring and constantly go way above everything that we would hope for in terms of care.

I look forward to my twice-weekly visits from carers which enable me to continue to live alone.

Home Instead has changed mine and my father's lives in an amazing way. I have total trust in the carers that attend to my father's needs. They very promptly understood his needs and did so much to help. As well as all their tasks being undertaken during visits, they have time to talk to my father with interest. They have so easily taken to his routine ensuring the calendar is read throughout the day and helping him to be ready for trips out. For me, working full time at the hospital, their attentive attitude towards their work gives me peace of mind. Communication is imperative and they do this constantly. Nothing is too much. I rave about Home Instead to everyone. They really do tick every box. Thank you.
