Home Instead Isle of Wight is a family-owned local home care provider, which is part of the Home Instead network. Home Instead became the first care provider to receive the Queen's Award for Enterprise for its innovative approach to care at home. They are also delighted to have been rated Outstanding by The Care Quality Commission in December 2021 and are currently one of few elderly domiciliary care providers to be rated outstanding overall on the Island.

The model of care followed is fully bespoke and tailored to each individual client's wishes and needs. Experienced, trained Care Professionals are matched with clients based on factors such as common interests and skills required and the consistency of the same Care Professionals visiting at the same times is maintained to enable a relationship of trust to develop.

Home Instead provides a minimum call time of 45 minutes or an hour if personal hygiene support is required. This allows the service to be flexible to the daily changing needs of their clients and ensure that care can be led by the client and supported by their Care Professional. Home Instead are able to provide a range of services including home help, companionship and meal preparation to personal care and complex care services such as oxygen, nebulisation, PEG or Tracheostomy Care.   

Home Instead provides a professional training program that underpins Care Professionals practical experience and enhances the knowledge of their Care Professional team. They also have an in-house Training Lead and Health Professional ensuring Care Professionals have the correct knowledge and experience to support their clients.

The staff engaged with Mum and quickly understood what was important to her. They were very dependable and supportive. My Mum is living on her own. The standard of care and support was outstanding.

Use of this service enabled me to recover safely in my own home. The carers were efficient, effective, caring and kind. Always time for laughter and chats with other walkers on our daily walks that were planned to increase my mobilisation. Household tasks were completed efficiently and to my total satisfaction.

They are very good and personal and I would highly recommend them as they are highly professional as well, and will go above and beyond what is expected of them. They will look after you in all ways, talking if that’s what’s needed as they are very good listeners as well as personal care and meals.
