Hello, I’m Femi, the owner of Home Instead in Luton & Central Bedfordshire. I have a 22-year background in medical practice, specialising in mental health. My clinical practice over the years has helped forge strong personal and professional values that are in line with Home Instead’s core value of client-centred care.
My personal experience of looking after a parent with dementia, as well as my professional work as a specialist in dementia care, has allowed me to understand the importance of promoting the client’s independence and ability to make choices, even in the face of the odds and challenges they might be facing, as a consequence of poor health.
My experience and values from clinical practice will be brought to bear in providing overarching leadership to the franchise as it continues to further its vision of providing care to the highest standards, in our local communities of Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages.
My aim as Registered Manager is to create a safe, compassionate, and well-led service where clients receive exceptional, personalised care and care pros are supported to thrive, grow, and deliver care they can be proud of - ensuring Home Instead remains a trusted and outstanding provider within the community. I am compassionate and experienced Registered Manager with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that enables people to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. With extensive experience within Home Instead, I bring a deep understanding of the organisation's ethos and the importance of building trusted, meaningful relationships between clients, families, and care pros. I am known for my supportive leadership style, passionate about developing confident, well-trained care pros who feel valued and empowered in their roles. I lead with integrity, professionalism, and empathy, ensuring care is delivered to the highest standards while meeting all regulatory and safeguarding requirements. I also place a strong emphasis on continuity of care, dignity and respect, believing that outstanding care starts with listening and truly understanding each individuals needs, preferences, and life story.
I aim to train and educate you so that you can feel safe, supported and confident when visiting your clients in the local community.
My Why: was my dad. When I was young, every school holiday I used to go to work with him and help. Christmas days were spent at the care home dishing up dinner and giving out presents, whilst my mum was cooking our dinner. It gave me a passion for this industry, which never went away and was always what I was going to do.
To ensure smooth, efficient, and person-centred scheduled that balances the needs of both our clients and Care Professionals. Ensure every client and Care Professional feels valued, respected, and listened to by handling each scheduling interaction with empathy and accuracy. I believe that a well-organised schedule enables us to deliver the best possible care by minimising delays and responding quickly to changes.
The first point of contact for both Care Professionals and Clients is to provide an exceptional service by both listening to and understanding the caller’s needs. To be part of a great team who are compassionate, caring and understanding of each individual client's needs. Knowing that we make a positive difference to our clients and families' lives motivates me in my day-to-day role.
To deliver training administration with integrity, consistency, and care, ensuring learning is well organised, accessible, and fully compliant with organisational and regulatory standards. Kelly entered adult social care during the COVID-19 pandemic as a Care Professional, gaining first-hand experience of delivering care in a highly pressured and constantly changing environment.
Since then, Kelly has held several key player roles at Home Instead, including scheduling and client management, which has given her a wide and varied knowledge base across training, compliance, and operational practice. She is committed to upholding integrity in all aspects of training administration through accurate record-keeping, clear communication, and reliable processes. She values teamwork and works collaboratively with colleagues, the training team, and the registered manager to support a positive learning environment where everyone feels informed and supported.
