We had my husband's carer for just 3 weeks. I wish I had arranged it much sooner. We had a lovely man who took him out and made him laugh and made it much easier for me to go out and have time with friends. The office staff I spoke to were always kind and friendly. Thank you so much.

My mum has been using Home Instead since March 2020. The care is exceptional and my mum's health has improved considerably. I appreciate the regular assurance that she is taking her medication. Her skin is looked after and regular meals have made such a difference. She enjoys the company of her caregivers above all else. The house is kept clean and tidy and she has clean clothes. Personal care is discreet and invaluable. I personally find the online daily log so reassuring. It's just excellent care.

My mum has only had two visits so far but, have to say, I have been very pleased with the care she has received. Everyone that I have dealt with from the management team to the carer have been very helpful, supportive and kind.

The quality of the carers has declined, as the price has increased. When I first started with Home Instead Senior Care, what was promised by the website was what you got. But now the quality has declined such that there is no discernable difference between Home Instead Senior Care and other care agencies that we are familiar with. It is also my impression that some of the staff now in the post are not up to their job. And carers, who are now employed, are not of the same standard as those who would have been previously.

We are so glad to have found Home Instead for the care of Mum.

Mum's needs were quite complex, and the team took the time to learn what would make Mum happy and comfortable. We can't rate them highly enough - superb!

Excellent service from carers. I preferred having two different carers as opposed to one, as it is nice to speak to different people being housebound. I feel extremely lucky that both carers during my time with Home Instead are so lovely.

Home Instead's care for my elderly mother has proven to be excellent. Handling over the personal care of a loved one is a very difficult and upsetting decision to have to make and all of the office staff and caregivers truly care about the wellbeing of mum and treat her with the utmost kindness, respect and dignity. The past few months would have been impossible without them.

We have been using Home Instead for mum's care since June 2019. Mum was allocated and introduced to a team of caregivers from the beginning although there have been a few changes to her team as her care needs have changed, she has now been settled with her team for some considerable time. Her caregivers are all extremely professional and caring. They treat mum with respect and dignity at all times making her feel comfortable whatever the situation. They have all got to know mum and her little ways and what she likes and dislikes. As a family, we are extremely happy with the care and affection that mum receives. I would also like to thank all the office staff as they are always available to answer any questions I have and I am always kept informed of any slight changes that may occur.

While the cost may be a little more expensive than some other homecare agencies I am a great believer in you get what you pay for and we are happy in knowing mum is in good and caring hands from all her team.

We have been using Home Instead since 2017, when my father had a heart attack and his health deteriorated. The admin staff and carers have always been kind, helpful and professional. I would happily recommend them to everyone.

Each week there is a cheerful greeting followed by the latest news, then it is down to business, mainly exercises followed by a cup of tea.

Each time the client is treated with dignity, even the goodbyes.

Care and support is of a high standard. All the people attending my aunt, show care and consideration at all times. She refers to them as friends, not carers.

Home Instead carers look after my father twice a day. He is not an easy man to care for, but the girls are admirable in the way they look after him and care for him. I can rest easy knowing he is in safe hands, and he is happy.

I have been receiving a companionship service with a wonderful carer for the last two years. She takes me shopping and to my various hospital appointments.

Unfortunately, in spite of my numerous phone calls to the office and meetings with her team leader, I have still not been introduced to a backup carer to cover holidays and sick leave. On a couple of occasions, I have been unable to go out as no other carers were available.

My personal experience of looking after a parent with dementia, as well as my professional work as a specialist in dementia care, has allowed me to understand the importance of promoting the client’s independence and ability to make choices, even in the face of the odds and challenges they might be facing, as a consequence of poor health.

My Why: was my dad. When I was young, every school holiday I used to go to work with him and help. Christmas days were spent at the care home dishing up dinner and giving out presents, whilst my mum was cooking our dinner. It gave me a passion for this industry, which never went away and was always what I was going to do.
