We have been using Home Instead for mum's care since June 2019. Mum was allocated and introduced to a team of caregivers from the beginning although there have been a few changes to her team as her care needs have changed, she has now been settled with her team for some considerable time. Her caregivers
are all extremely professional and caring. They treat mum with respect and dignity at all times making her feel comfortable whatever the situation. They have all got to know mum and her little ways and what she likes and dislikes. As a family, we are extremely happy with the care and affection that mum receives. I would also like to thank all the office staff as they are always available to answer any questions I have and I am always kept informed of any slight changes that may occur.
While the cost may be a little more expensive than some other homecare agencies I am a great believer in you get what you pay for and we are happy in knowing mum is in good and caring hands from all her team.

We have been using Home Instead since 2017, when my father had a heart attack and his health deteriorated. The admin staff and carers have always been kind, helpful and professional. I would happily recommend them to everyone.

Each week there is a cheerful greeting followed by the latest news, then it is down to business, mainly exercises followed by a cup of tea.
Each time the client is treated with dignity, even the goodbyes.

Home Instead carers look after my father twice a day. He is not an easy man to care for, but the girls are admirable in the way they look after him and care for him. I can rest easy knowing he is in safe hands, and he is happy.

I have been receiving a companionship service with a wonderful carer for the last two years. She takes me shopping and to my various hospital appointments.
Unfortunately, in spite of my numerous phone calls to the office and meetings with her team leader, I have still not been introduced to a backup
carer to cover holidays and sick leave. On a couple of occasions, I have been unable to go out as no other carers were available.

All the staff have been easy to contact and pleasant when dealing with a query. All matters have been dealt with efficiently. The carers have been very good and well trained.
There are regular home visits by management to check that everything is running smoothly.

All of the care my father has received has been excellent. All of the carers are conscientious and compassionate. They are friendly and approachable and treat my parents with respect. They point out any health concerns and suggest possible aids to assist my father.

My Mum has been using Home Instead for the past couple of years and I have found them to be professional and personable in their care for her. After her hip revision operation when she needed extra support we could trust the carers would attend 3 x daily to administer medication and ensure that she
was eating and drinking and overseeing her recovery from the procedure.

My mother is very happy with the care she has received. She fully appreciates the caregiver's hard work and commitment. She absolutely loves her carer who is organised, very supportive and very much attention to detail. In my opinion, this is the best I have seen my Mum. Clean, fresh and well cared

Hello, I’m Femi, the owner of Home Instead in Luton & Central Bedfordshire. I have a 22-year background in medical practice, specialising in mental health. My clinical practice over the years has helped forge strong personal and professional values that are in line with Home Instead’s core value of client-centred care.


My personal experience of looking after a parent with dementia, as well as my professional work as a specialist in dementia care, has allowed me to understand the importance of promoting the client’s independence and ability to make choices, even in the face of the odds and challenges they might be facing, as a consequence of poor health.


My experience and values from clinical practice will be brought to bear in providing overarching leadership to the franchise as it continues to further its vision of providing care to the highest standards, in our local communities of Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages.
