We were impressed with Home Instead staff. They always attended on time and were always friendly and courteous. Most importantly they remembered what was agreed to be done from the previous day. They provided care and 'Peace of Mind' for my wife as she was very worried as to how to deal with my care since my hospital discharge last month.

Reply from Maria Collins, Director at Home Instead (Luton & Central Beds)

Thank you for your positive review and delighted that our care was appropriate for your needs and supported your wife during your post-op period.

Mum was with Home Instead for around six months, and during that time, the care she received was excellent. The team who supported her were caring and kind. They took time to get to know Mum, listen to her needs and chat with her about anything and everything Mum wanted to talk about. The little touches they gave showed her dignity and their level of commitment was exceptional. The support they gave to me was also beyond anything I would have expected. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or see them again.

During my husband's 17 months with Home Instead, he was treated exceptionally well by his carers and looked forward to his weekly visits. He formed a great friendship with them. It was peace of mind for me knowing that I could go out for a few hours without worrying. In our time of need both the management and carers were there to support us for which we are immensely grateful.

Some lovely staff who genuinely care but seem to take some time to pick up on customer feedback. However, over time a great progress has been made.

What an amazing team of girls this homecare provider has! They provided me with the best care and support, personal and professional. If I was to win the lottery, I’d have Home Instead back in a heartbeat. Very highly recommend.

We had sitters for my mother who has Alzheimer's which at times was very challenging for them. They never got cross, they were very patient and caring towards her.

Excellent support had been given to my mother over the past couple of years. Any concerns were dealt with promptly and sensitively. Changes in the care package were promptly put in place.

Mum's care team were fantastic and Mum is now in a care home, but still talks about her wonderful team.

I have absolutely no negatives with my carers. They are very pleasant and helpful and treat me with the greatest dignity and respect. They are here every morning on the dot and sometimes I think they go beyond their job. Very happy.

I found Home Instead (Luton & Central Beds) to be very good with her care for the last 18 months. She really enjoyed the company of the carers and they never let us down, always in attendance. I would recommend them to anyone who needs care at home. Unfortunately, my sister has a fractured hip and has to go into respite care in a nursing home.

Reply from Maria Collins, Director at Home Instead (Luton & Central Beds)

Thank you for your positive review - we are pleased that your sister found our service reliable and she enjoyed the relationship she developed with her CAREGivers. We wish her well in her new home environment

Your service has been excellent and the carers very professional and kind. They have treated my partner with dignity and also taken him for short walks to improve his mobility. I have no hesitation in recommending your company and have arranged for another branch of Home Instead to take over the care when we relocate at the end of this week.

Reply from Maria Collins, Director at Home Instead (Luton & Central Beds)

My clinical practice over the years has helped forge strong personal and professional values that are in line with Home Instead’s core value of client-centred care.

My personal experience of looking after a parent with dementia, as well as my professional work as a specialist in dementia care, has allowed me to understand the importance of promoting the client’s independence and ability to make choices, even in the face of the odds and challenges they might be facing, as a consequence of poor health.

My experience and values from clinical practice will be brought to bear in providing overarching leadership to the franchise as it continues to further its vision of providing care to the highest standards, in our local communities of Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages.

My Why: was my dad. When I was young, every school holiday I used to go to work with him and help. Christmas days were spent at the care home dishing up dinner and giving out presents, whilst my mum was cooking our dinner. It gave me a passion for this industry, which never went away and was always what I was going to do.
