Hello, I’m Femi, the owner of Home Instead in Luton & Central Bedfordshire. I have a 22-year background in medical practice, specialising in mental health. My clinical practice over the years has helped forge strong personal and professional values that are in line with Home Instead’s core value of client-centred care.
My personal experience of looking after a parent with dementia, as well as my professional work as a specialist in dementia care, has allowed me to understand the importance of promoting the client’s independence and ability to make choices, even in the face of the odds and challenges they might be facing, as a consequence of poor health.
My experience and values from clinical practice will be brought to bear in providing overarching leadership to the franchise as it continues to further its vision of providing care to the highest standards, in our local communities of Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages.
I am Simona, the Registered Manager at Home Instead Luton and Central Bedfordshire. With a strong background in care and business, I bring a wealth of experience and a unique skill set to my role. My journey has been shaped by dedication, compassion, and a commitment to improving the lives of others. I have nine years of experience in the care sector, gaining strong knowledge in best practices, client-centred care, and staff management. I have developed key skills in leadership, team development, and operations, and I am committed to creating a nurturing environment for clients and care professionals, ensuring high-quality care. As Registered Manager, my goal is to build a supportive culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to deliver outstanding care. I am committed to Home Instead’s values of compassion, respect, and trust, providing personalised care that promotes client wellbeing and independence.
I’m an experienced care professional and leader with a strong background in health and social care and customer relationship management. As Head of Client Experience at Home Instead Luton, I ensure every client and their family receive outstanding, person-centred support from first enquiry through to ongoing care. With over nine years in adult social care and ten years in sales and marketing, I bring a unique mix of compassion, operational expertise, and strategic focus. My experience includes dementia and end-of-life care, staff training, compliance, and client engagement. Previously, I held leadership roles in care homes, including Deputy Manager, and earlier achieved top regional performance in sales and marketing. I’m passionate about building meaningful relationships and helping people live life their way — with dignity, respect, and the right support at home.
I aim to train and educate you so that you can feel safe, supported and confident when visiting your clients in the local community.
My Why: was my dad. When I was young, every school holiday I used to go to work with him and help. Christmas days were spent at the care home dishing up dinner and giving out presents, whilst my mum was cooking our dinner. It gave me a passion for this industry, which never went away and was always what I was going to do.
To ensure smooth, efficient, and person-centred scheduled that balances the needs of both our clients and Care Professionals. Ensure every client and Care Professional feels valued, respected, and listened to by handling each scheduling interaction with empathy and accuracy. I believe that a well-organised schedule enables us to deliver the best possible care by minimising delays and responding quickly to changes.
The first point of contact for both Care Professionals and Clients is to provide an exceptional service by both listening to and understanding the caller’s needs. To be part of a great team who are compassionate, caring and understanding of each individual client's needs. Knowing that we make a positive difference to our clients and families' lives motivates me in my day-to-day role.
