Each time the client is treated with dignity, even the goodbyes.
Care and support is of a high standard. All the people attending my aunt, show care and consideration at all times. She refers to them as friends, not carers.
Home Instead carers look after my father twice a day. He is not an easy man to care for, but the girls are admirable in the way they look after him and care for him. I can rest easy knowing he is in safe hands, and he is happy.
Unfortunately, in spite of my numerous phone calls to the office and meetings with her team leader, I have still not been introduced to a backup carer to cover holidays and sick leave. On a couple of occasions, I have been unable to go out as no other carers were available.
There are regular home visits by management to check that everything is running smoothly.
We are satisfied with the service.
The only improvement would be to know who is coming in advance.
A really nice company to receive care from. Caregivers are on time and well trained and attire. Very pleased with everything.
Home Instead provides a reassuring professional service. They communicate very well and will always call to advise of slight delays on visit times but these calls are very infrequent. Overall a very high standard of service.
My Mum has been using Home Instead for the past couple of years and I have found them to be professional and personable in their care for her. After her hip revision operation when she needed extra support we could trust the carers would attend 3 x daily to administer medication and ensure that she was eating and drinking and overseeing her recovery from the procedure.
I have nothing but praise for Home Instead as a company. The carers are excellent, dedicated and punctual and always willing to go the extra mile. Mum was assigned two careworkers who became more like friends. The office staff were also very efficient, keeping me updated about any changes regarding Mum's welfare etc.
Well looked after by carer who shows great interest, who shows great interest, who encourages me to do various things despite my Alzheimers.
All carers were well trained, polite and attended promptly.
My mother is very happy with the care she has received. She fully appreciates the caregiver's hard work and commitment. She absolutely loves her carer who is organised, very supportive and very much attention to detail. In my opinion, this is the best I have seen my Mum. Clean, fresh and well cared for in a long time.
The carers that visit mum at home have built a rapport with her. She enjoys their visits and company. We have never found one member of staff that we haven't liked!
Have received a good service, always informed of changes to agreed attendance.
Home Instead is very thorough, efficient and caring. My husband gets on very well with his carers who are respectful and caring. Home Instead researched his needs very well before introducing him to his carers, unlike some agencies who simply send someone.
My companion for 2 hours is always punctual and recently we have been to a nursery. I enjoy playing dominoes with her/him and we have coffee. My carer helped me choose a special anniversary card for my wife and a potted plant. She is kind thoughtful and caring.
My husband has Alzheimer's and often wanders at night. He regards his Home Instead Caregiver as a friend and they get on very well. Being able to leave him overnight with someone so trustworthy and reliable gives me a weekly break and together with the support from the family enables me to continue working two days a week. This combines to make me a far better carer when it's my turn.
Generally very happy with this service. I would like to say that everyone I have experience of does the best they can to provide care.
The caregivers do a very good job and take the trouble to get to know the client especially those with dementia. The management is not responsive and often make changes without proper discussion with caregivers and clients. This issue has been twice rated as "requires improvement" by the CQC.

Meet the Team (9)
Hello, I’m Femi, the owner of Home Instead in Luton & Central Bedfordshire. I have a 22-year background in medical practice, specialising in mental health. My clinical practice over the years has helped forge strong personal and professional values that are in line with Home Instead’s core value of client-centred care.
My personal experience of looking after a parent with dementia, as well as my professional work as a specialist in dementia care, has allowed me to understand the importance of promoting the client’s independence and ability to make choices, even in the face of the odds and challenges they might be facing, as a consequence of poor health.
My experience and values from clinical practice will be brought to bear in providing overarching leadership to the franchise as it continues to further its vision of providing care to the highest standards, in our local communities of Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages.
My aim as Registered Manager is to create a safe, compassionate, and well-led service where clients receive exceptional, personalised care and care pros are supported to thrive, grow, and deliver care they can be proud of - ensuring Home Instead remains a trusted and outstanding provider within the community. I am a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that enables people to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. With extensive experience within Home Instead, I bring a deep understanding of the organisation's ethos and the importance of building trusted, meaningful relationships between clients, families, and care pros. I am known for my supportive leadership style, passionate about developing confident, well-trained care pros who feel valued and empowered in their roles. I lead with integrity, professionalism, and empathy, ensuring care is delivered to the highest standards while meeting all regulatory and safeguarding requirements. I also place a strong emphasis on continuity of care, dignity and respect, believing that outstanding care starts with listening and truly understanding each individual's needs, preferences, and life story.
I began my career in care 12 years ago as an Activities Coordinator. Since then, I have progressed through a variety of roles, including Senior Day Care Assistant, Head of Care, and Deputy Manager, gaining valuable experience across all aspects of care and support.
From an early age, I knew I wanted to work with older people and make a positive difference in their lives. I am passionate about helping each client live as independently and fully as possible, and I feel privileged to work alongside a dedicated team that shares the same commitment to delivering outstanding care.
In my current role as Client Experience Manager, I support our team in providing the highest standards of person-centred care while ensuring every client enjoys a positive, meaningful, and fulfilling experience each day. Building strong relationships with clients and their families is at the heart of what I do, and I take great pride in creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.
I aim to train and educate you so that you can feel safe, supported and confident when visiting your clients in the local community.
My Why: was my dad. When I was young, every school holiday I used to go to work with him and help. Christmas days were spent at the care home dishing up dinner and giving out presents, whilst my mum was cooking our dinner. It gave me a passion for this industry, which never went away and was always what I was going to do.
To ensure smooth, efficient, and person-centred scheduled that balances the needs of both our clients and Care Professionals. Ensure every client and Care Professional feels valued, respected, and listened to by handling each scheduling interaction with empathy and accuracy. I believe that a well-organised schedule enables us to deliver the best possible care by minimising delays and responding quickly to changes.
The first point of contact for both Care Professionals and Clients is to provide an exceptional service by both listening to and understanding the caller’s needs. To be part of a great team who are compassionate, caring and understanding of each individual client's needs. Knowing that we make a positive difference to our clients and families' lives motivates me in my day-to-day role.
To deliver training administration with integrity, consistency, and care, ensuring learning is well organised, accessible, and fully compliant with organisational and regulatory standards. Kelly entered adult social care during the COVID-19 pandemic as a Care Professional, gaining first-hand experience of delivering care in a highly pressured and constantly changing environment.
Since then, Kelly has held several key player roles at Home Instead, including scheduling and client management, which has given her a wide and varied knowledge base across training, compliance, and operational practice. She is committed to upholding integrity in all aspects of training administration through accurate record-keeping, clear communication, and reliable processes. She values teamwork and works collaboratively with colleagues, the training team, and the registered manager to support a positive learning environment where everyone feels informed and supported. By ensuring training requirements are met and compliance is maintained, she helps protect both staff and the people we support. She believes strong training foundations-built on trust, accountability and collaboration-enable individuals and teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.
