Nothing was too much trouble for the carers looking after my mum. They washed and dressed her, gave breakfast and medication. The bed was changed if needed and everything was done with a smile. The carers gave advice when asked, which was very helpful.

Contacting Home Instead was one of the best decisions we made when looking for care for my Dad. It's clear that everyone on the team is extremely professional and passionate about their work and they have always been very helpful with any queries we've had.

Dad's carer has formed a great connection with him and really understands what things he needs particular help with or direction. He has told me he enjoys her visits and looks forward to the meals she prepares for him.

We are especially happy that she has gained his trust and is able to assist him with changing his clothes more often so he feels fresher.

Knowing that Dad has people visiting him who genuinely care for his welfare has given our family great peace of mind and supported him to continue happily living in his own home.

We are so lucky to have been connected with Home Instead at Pocklington. From the initial phone call and fact finding visit by Rebecca, the Client Manager, through to every single care provider who calls on our aunt, we cannot praise them enough. They are all so caring, considerate and reliable. Our aunt calls them her ladies. We were nervous of letting people into her home as we didn't know how she would react, but she really looks forward to their visit each day.

My mother and myself have been delighted with Home Instead. The carers have been excellent. So caring and kind. They always carry out all tasks thoroughly and are respectful of my mothers needs and adapt to her wishes on the day. From my point of view I find the app so reassuring, being able to read how my mum is each day. The staff always reply promptly to my e mails and inform me if there are any issues that I need to be made aware of. She provides regular reviews where my mum is able to say how she wants any tasks etc added or changed. At last I feel reassured that my mum is able to remain at home with a great team who care for her so well. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to stay in their own home and for family members it is so lovely to know they are in safe hands. Thank you so so much.

We have ben very pleased with the service we have had from Home Instead. All the care staff are very professional and caring. They are very well trained before they start. They always come at the same time and it is a pleasure to see them arrive every morning to help my husband, who has Huntington's Disease, shower and dress. They involve him in decisions and encourage him to talk. I particularly like that we have the same staff as consistency and routine are important to my husband. I enjoy the conversations with them too.

From the moment we contacted Rebecca to talk to her about moving in my sister in law to our home , she and her team have been there every step of the way to guide and advise us on all aspects of care , equipment needed etc. The care package is truly tailormade for every individual , it also takes into account how other family members are feeling , and what steps the care team can take to assist us all in the very difficult transition period to looking after a poorly family member in the home environment. The team are usually are the same on Rota every week thus allowing us to build a relationship with them, they are allows cheerful and speak very highly about the company they work for, that is a huge comfort to know they are happy and looked after by their employers.

I have been pleased with all the carers involved in my husband's care. They have been kind, friendly, respectful, encouraging and engaging him in conversation. It always puts a smile on his face when they arrive. I also appreciate the kindness and consideration towards me.

Home Instead have been carers for my 99-year-old mother in law for the past ten months. She suffers with memory problems but they have always been patient and understanding with her. I have found them to be honest, professional and caring. I would highly recommend them.

My mum was so worried and got very upset when I tried to talk to her about having carers. She soon realised after meeting them that we couldn't have asked for a better team of caring, friendly happy people. My mum thinks they're all wonderful.

I've definitely noticed a change in her for the better. She's so much happier and eating and loving the company including playing snakes and ladders. I now don't drive the 75 miles home feeling so guilty. Her house has gone from been eerily quiet to now being full of laughter and chatter and of course cups of tea.

Home Instead are an excellent and reliable company with caring staff. It was really important to us that the carers are a small team and the two girls have now built a relationship with Mum. We hope this will continue and as she’s going into her 98th year we can continue to keep her at home.
