We have used Home Instead for almost 2 yrs and have found them to be a very professional company with the highest standards of care, support & companionship to not only our elderly parents but as "friends" to us daughters. Since losing our dad in March 2025, our care-pro's have been so caring & supportive
to us all - we cannot thank them enough.
Before we lost dad whilst he was in hospital as a family we faced some difficult decisions about how dads care cld best be provided once out of hospital. Again Home Insteads Office staff consulted with us & guided us thro processes we were unfamiliar with.
Overall we have had a very positive experience & would recommend and use them again Thank-you all.

Overall I( have been very pleased with the service provided and for the care and attention given by the Carers allocated for my needs.
On the whole Carers turn up on time and do the tasks that need to be done usually automatically. Generally speaking if I have a query I know to whom I should address
my enquiry and to get it resolved. All the Carers that I have and it is usually one of three from the team
are very pleasant and helpful and if they are not available then a substitute is sent and I am notified of this.

Reply from Eve Macey-Norris, General Manager at Home Instead (Swindon & Vale of White Horse)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you've been happy with the service and care provided. It's wonderful to know that our Care Professionals have been punctual, attentive, and proactive in supporting your needs, and that you've felt well-informed and reassured when any changes have been necessary.Thank you again for your lovely comments - it means a great deal to our entire team!

Home instead visited my 94 year old father on a weekly basis for about a year before he moved into residential care. Despite having fantastic neighbours, it was really useful to have someone independent keeping me updated on his well-being and advise when household supplies were getting low, particularly
as I live a few hours away. The App they use to record visits and pass on information was easy to use and I was updated within a few hours of each visit. Dad came to look forward to the visits as an important milestone in his week and prompt for other things that were due to happen in a particular week. The care staff were always very professional and courteous and I cannot remember a single missed visit over the whole year. The office contacts were always readily available and very helpful. I was particularly grateful when on a routine visit a carer noticed he was unwell and contacted his GP for advice which prompted a call for an ambulance. Thoroughly recommend the Home Instead team.

Reply from Eve Macey-Norris, General Manager at Home Instead (Swindon & Vale of White Horse)

Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. It truly means the world to the team to hear how our visits supported both your dad and you, especially with the distance. I'm so glad we could be that extra set of eyes and hands, helping to keep things ticking along and making sure you were kept in the loop. It's lovely to know that our visits became a highlight in your dad's week-that's really touching. We're especially grateful that we could be there when he needed urgent help, and that everything was followed through safely. Thank you for your trust and kind words-it's been a real privilege to support your dad, and your feedback means a huge amount to the whole team.

Very pleased with my carer. She is very helpful and listens. I feel safe when I am with her when we are outside.
Contact with the office is usually okay but sometimes communication has fallen below par.

Reply from Eve Macey-Norris, General Manager at Home Instead (Swindon & Vale of White Horse)

Mum was adamantly refusing carers prior to us contacting Home Instead a year ago. We tried an alternate company and they were dismissed very quickly. The office based staff and the care staff at Home Instead took time to understand mum's needs and anxieties, (and my needs as primary carer) and worked
with me to ensure we could manage mum's anxieties in a positive way. Mum now sees the Home Instead care staff as friends. They have increasingly taken on more duties, including personal care and mum thoroughly enjoys her time with them. The office staff are always professional & efficient and very understanding. I would highly recommend this service.

Reply from Eve Macey-Norris, General Manager at Home Instead (Swindon & Vale of White Horse)

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! The team were really touched to hear how much of a positive impact their work has had on both you and your mum. It's always our goal to take the time to understand each person's needs and provide care that feels right for them. We're so glad that mum now sees our carers as friends and enjoys her time with them! It's been a pleasure working alongside you, and we truly appreciate your trust and kind recommendation. Thanks again for choosing us - we'll always be here to support you both!

The whole process of arranging carers for my mother-in-law was very satisfactory. The care services supervisor was very professional and extremely thorough to ensure the carers allocated to my mother-in-law would meet her needs. The carers are very professional, friendly and pleasant, and provide excellent
care. My mother-in-law is so happy with them and the way they look after her and there is a definite improvement in her health and wellbeing since they have been caring for her.

Reply from Eve Macey-Norris, General Manager at Home Instead (Swindon & Vale of White Horse)

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're absolutely delighted to hear that everything went smoothly and that the care team has made such a positive difference for your mother-in-law. It means a lot to us to know that she's not only happy but also seeing improvements in her health and wellbeing. We're grateful for the opportunity to support her, and we'll continue to ensure she receives the best care possible. Thank you again for your trust and feedback!

Home Instead has provided outstanding care for my mum. From the initial hourly visits, my mum then needed to have live-in carers. My mum has been looked after with so much care and support. Every member of the team truly cares. If you are looking for carers I can't fault Home Instead Swindon & Vale

It can be very satisfying when something you do turns out right. That is what happened when we first contacted Home Instead. From the very start, we were impressed by the staff and when the care service provider visited us we knew that we were making the right choice. My husband who is my carer needs
to have a break so every Tuesday a care pro visits to provide companionship when he is out. The two carers who come are excellent company and are very helpful. We consider Home Instead to be top of the class. It is also nice to know we got it right.

We can't fault the support we had from the whole Home Instead team, the individual carers provided lots of friendship, companionship and care for my Mum over nearly 2 years. The girls provided care daily 3 times a day, helping her with her personal care, providing her meals, management of her medications
and most importantly being her friendship which Mum enjoyed. Our mum who has dementia loved to stay in her own home which the team from Home Instead helped as long as it was possible until her health deteriorated and after a hospital stay we had to move her into a care home.
Whatever the future holds we will always remember the support and care the team provided to our Mum. Thanks.

I would like to say a big thank you to the team that arranged the tea dance at a the memorial hall on Saturday 15th June. I brought my mother along to the event and she thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon especially the songs that she loved singing to, and of course the tea and cake! Thank you, it was
a really enjoyable afternoon, the staff and volunteers worked really hard and created a lovely friendly and fun afternoon.

Reply from Eve Macey-Norris, Operations Manager at Home Instead (Swindon & Vale of White Horse)

Thank you for the kind feedback, I'm so pleased that your mother enjoyed the event which was organised by our Community Engagement Officer. They work hard to support people in our community as well as our own clients, and we are regularly fundraising to fund events such as the Tea Dance, it's all worth it to know that these things make a difference to even one person's afternoon. I'll be sure to share your wonderful feedback with our Community Engagement Officer and the team, thank you!

All the care pros are kind, friendly, thorough and very patient with my parents.
Communication with the office is quick and easy.
All the staff go the extra mile to help us. It has been a big relief to find such great help, as we live a couple of hours away, a huge weight off my mind.

Home Instead have been providing care, companionship, and support to my mum for the past 8 months. I really don’t know where I’d be without them. I was suffering carer burnout and now once a month I have a whole weekend to myself in the knowledge Mum is being well looked after and having company. This
is in addition to them providing care on a daily basis. Mum always has the same regular darers. They have been a lifeline to us both and are absolutely amazing! I have nothing but praise for them all and would totally recommend them. An hour is an hour and in that time they follow a care plan, designed so Mum's needs and wishes are met. Thank you to all of Mum's Care Pros and the team that organise a fabulous bespoke service.

Home Instead have been supporting my Husband for almost four years and in doing so assist me to do the same. This month it has been necessary to arrange for further hours of care for my Husband due to my falling energy levels. The Home Instead team have sorted this out with care and thoughtfulness and
the new schedule started this week. It is very reassuring to have that support there. We thank all of them the part they each play.

We have always experienced the best level of care for Mum from Home Instead. Her small group of carers are extremely professional and competent, they treat her with dignity and respect.
Having had a very stressful past year with Coronavirus and lockdowns, we have nothing but praise for the way Home

Mum has been receiving excellent support from Home Instead caregivers for about 18 months: companionship, help in the house and taking to medical appointments. The caregivers have been well chosen by Home Instead to suit Mum's circumstances. Throughout the COVID pandemic, there has been regular information
from the office, outlining the thorough precautions in place. I am confident that Mum is safe and happy, which has been especially important this year as I live at a distance and visiting has been limited.

Home Instead has cared for my mother for many years. Her needs increased this year, and within their professional, and understanding way, the extra support was quickly adhered to.
Carers have built up a strong rapport with my mother, are punctual, and caring towards individual needs.
When contacting
Home Instead's office by phone, again they are very accommodating, and helpful, and reply swiftly.
