We used Home Instead from June -December 2020. We needed a caregiver to give me a break from looking after my dad full time. They came in for a few hours each week so I was able to get out of the house and do some shopping. During the warm weather, our caregiver would take dad outside for a walk around
the garden, sit in the sun and have an ice-cream, something my dad loved to do and make him lunch. They would look through books and photographs with him and talk to him. They also used to wash up for do some housework which was a big help too, changing sheets and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen.

Because of my wife's ill health, we have been fortunate to have had the help of Home Instead Senior Care (Swindon & Vale of White Horse). The office staff have always done their very best to meet our needs, and this has been matched by the reliability and professionalism of the front line carers who
visit us. Central to the service they provide is "care', and it is reflected in their empathy and their understanding of our care needs. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We have had excellent and consistent service from Home Instead since they began looking after my parents four years ago. They endeavour to make sure that they have a small group of regular carers who get to know their needs, interests and characters very well. All the carers have looked after my parents
with care, compassion and professionalism. The lines of communication are always very good.
Home Instead carers have helped to keep my parents safe and happy in their own home.

My father was matched with someone who got on great with him. Home Instead took the time and trouble to find someone who would work well with my Dad.
They always told me if there were any changes and we agreed together the best approach i.e. cancel the time or to move the support to another carer.

My mother-in-law has dementia and since my father-in-law died last year we have employed a Home Instead companion. The carer is compassionate and understanding of my mother-in-law's needs. I have been able to return to work as I know she is in safe hands.

I have used Home Instead Senior Care Swindon for 2 years.
My caregivers have built up a good relationship with me due to having continuity and I have a good rapport with both of them.
Timekeeping Is good, both are professional and show me respect and dignity.
I email the Care Manager who is our point
of contact, If I need to cancel or add visits, she is always prompt with her
replies.
I would have no hesitation In recommending Homeinstead and my partner has already done so at the local carers cuppa.

My parents have been receiving twice daily visits from the Home Instead carers for many months.
The carers are reliable and punctual - arriving every day without fail to do a difficult job each morning and evening - including Christmas Day, Sundays, Bank Holidays...
While the carers obviously vary
in personality, they are all well-motivated, caring, punctual and professional.
We receive communication from the office if they have any concerns and we have managed to contact them on the "on-call" phone out of regular hours.
I would recommend Home Instead highly to anyone...

I have found Home Instead professional throughout the 18 months that my father has used them. The office staff are helpful, contacting me at any appropriate moments and making correct judgement calls each time. I have found the office staff friendly, reliable and helpful. The carers are happy to contact
me when needed and go out of their way to do little things to make caring for my father as easy as possible. I would recommend them to any needing home care.

This has been an extremely difficult year health wise for my mother and very stressful for her family. We have had tremendous support from the staff of Home Instead who have walked alongside us in an ever-changing situation. The office staff have been very supportive, wise, flexible and kind in supporting
me to work out the most appropriate care arrangements for mum. They are unfailingly helpful and efficient and never made me feel I was a nuisance by adding in last minute arrangements. The online portal is really great and means I can always see the live schedule of Carer visits.
Mum's caregivers show great kindness to her and are really alert to her needs and ways of meeting them. They are helping to keep mum happy, safe, active, and mobile and Mum just keeps saying ' they are all very kind'.

We have been using Home Instead Senior Care for a few years now, their Carers and Office staff are a credit to the industry - we have used others providers before. The Carers provided, usually meet our requirements and are able to be the same carer on every visit, which was a big plus. It was like
having a close family member seeing your mum every day.
Bespoke requests for mum was always met and they always gave the impression they really cared and able to change quickly; holidays, medicine, cancellations.
I always refer friends and neighbours to Home Instead and when I have discussions with my local nurses, hospitals or the council and I mention Home Instead, their response is 'I have heard good things about them' which is great feedback to hear.
I cannot rate Home Instead highly enough.

The caregivers are very good and we are very happy with the care they provide. They contact us immediately if any issues or problems occur. On a couple of occasions our requests sent by email, have been dealt with however we would have appreciated an email reply to confirm the request has been actioned
but not to find out through the caregiver.

I would highly recommend Home Instead. In the 3 months they've been looking after my mum there has never been more than 2 different carers, so it's great to have this consistency. They have been friendly, kind, helpful and very attentive to mums needs. Always ready with good advice and as this was all
new to me, they were a great help to myself too. I found them professional, punctual and nothing is too much trouble. Everything you could wish for in care for a loved one.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead Senior Care. My 92-year-old mother has been looked after by Home Instead Senior Care for 4 years now. During that time, the family have enjoyed peace of mind, knowing that she is being looked after with the care and respect she deserves.
