Home Instead (Edgbaston) is an award winning company providing pro-active companionship-led care to people in their own homes in Central, East and South Birmingham covering areas Edgbaston, Harborne, Selly Oak, Bournville, Kings Norton, Yardley, Moseley, Kings Heath, Wthyall, Acocks Green and Hall Green, Hodge Hill, Ward End etc

In January 2019, the care element of their service was rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) at their routine inspection. This puts them in the very top tier of UK home care companies that have been inspected by the CQC.

The company individually matches Caregivers to the people that they support based on personality, interests and skills required. Their experience is that continuity of Caregiver makes a huge difference to the quality of support that they are able to provide. All of the people that work for them live locally and are car drivers insured to take people out into the community if that is required.

The company looks to add some colour into people’s lives that they go to as well as providing the practical support required that help them to continue living independently in their own homes.

The words Home Instead are entirely descriptive of the excellent service given. The care provided is of excellent all-round quality and related to the individual and proficiency.

The service continues to be brilliant. Carers turn up on time. Related well to my husband. Work well with live-in carers and are flexible. Even last minute requests for extra visits responded to and consistent carers who know my husband (now). Emergency cover (when live in carer is ill) excellent.

Our experience has been nothing but wonderful. Carers and management are attentive, efficient, caring and trustworthy. Mum is treated with dignity and respect and every effort is made to ensure that she is happy, comfortable and well cared for and things that are important to her are catered for. Carers
always check before they leave that she has everything she wants or needs. Both carers and management are also totally supportive of me (as a second carer) and always listen and deal with any concerns I may have. I totally endorse Home Instead to everyone.

I am very happy with the service and find that I am feeling much better and more relaxed since receiving it. The carer I have is very pleasant and we have lots in common like knitting and having had boys only family. I have a nice relaxed arrangement with her as she does what she can in the time and
can pick up the remainders on another day.

I have a visit every morning I have just added some more visits in the evening as my mobility is not good. My carers clean up for me, go shopping and assist me to shower, they sit and it gives me the confidence to shower when I have someone here and I have the help I need to enable me to stay at home.
Home Instead are very good if I need to change any of my visits and the people that come are lovely. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone, I do recommend them to all my friends.
