Job summary
Job Purpose:
To ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes by supervising care staff, conducting assessments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Field Care Supervisor plays a key role in supporting carers, monitoring service delivery, and acting as a liaison between the office and the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and regular reviews of care plans in clients? homes.
- Supervise and support care staff, including spot checks, supervisions, and appraisals.
- Ensure care delivery aligns with individual needs, preferences, and agreed outcomes.
- Monitor medication and insulin administration practices and ensure staff are trained and competent.
- Respond to emergencies and provide cover when needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with CQC standards.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of care staff.
- Promote safeguarding and report concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years? experience in a care supervisory role.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of person-centred care and care planning.
- Experience with medication
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a team
