Senior Lead Complex Support Worker (Level 3)

Job summary

Rafah Healthcare is seeking experienced and compassionate Complex Needs Support Workers(Level 2) & Senior Lead Complex Support Worker (Level 3) to provide specialist support for a young female child with profound learning disabilities, epilepsy, and complex sensory needs.
We have two positions available:
Role   Pay Range (per hour)
Complex Support Worker (Level 2)   £12.80 – £14.50
Senior Lead Complex Support Worker (Level 3)   £14.00 – £15.50
We are looking for individuals who are confident, patient, emotionally regulated, and experienced in supporting non-verbal children with challenging behaviours, sensory needs, and epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities
•   Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support for a young person with complex needs
•   Support with personal care, feeding, dressing, and mobility
•   Implement sensory play and regulation strategies
•   Follow structured routines and behaviour support plans
•   Administer or assist with Buccolam emergency medication 
•   Maintain accurate and timely care records
Requirements
•   Experience working with children with severe learning disabilities or complex needs
•   Ability to support personal care and daily living tasks

•   Epilepsy awareness (training can be provided)

•   Experience supporting non-verbal communication

•   Calm, consistent, reliable, and compassionate 
Desirable Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People / LD & Autism
Experience with PBS (Positive Behaviour Support)
Training or experience in communication aids (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
Hours
•   Term Time: 10 hours per week (approx. 380 hours/year)
•   School Holidays: 14 hours per week

Pay: £12.80–£15.50 per hour
