2. About the Role
- Provide personal care and support to clients in their own homes, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Support clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, medication prompts, and light housekeeping.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients through companionship and person-centred care, helping to promote independence and well-being.
- Maintain accurate care records, report any changes in client condition, and adhere to health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
3. Key Duties
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and companionship in clients’ homes
- Supporting with mobility, medication prompts, and daily living tasks
- Maintaining accurate care records and upholding confidentiality
- Promoting independence and well-being at all times
4. Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Must be a driver with a full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle, and valid car insurance
- Ability to deliver person-centred care with compassion, dignity, and respect
- Previous experience in domiciliary care / home care / community support is desirable but we welcome anyone with no experience.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Adult & Child Workforce, Health & Social Care) or willing to take an enhanced DBS check with us.
- Strong communication and excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Good digital literacy; comfortable using care planning systems, electronic care records, and office software.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle for local visits across Oxfordshire.
