Job summary

At St Jude’s Care, our Domiciliary Care Assistants make a real difference – bringing comfort, companionship and confidence to people in their own homes. Whether you’re supporting someone with daily routines, helping them regain independence after illness, or simply sharing a chat over tea, you’ll be part of something meaningful. 

What you’ll do 

• Deliver high-quality personal care and support in clients’ own homes 

• Prompt or administer medication in line with care plans 

• Prepare meals and support hydration and nutrition 

• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support 

• Travel between clients using our company pool car 

• Enjoy free time between shifts to rest, recharge or explore Weymouth

Your skills and experience 

We’re looking for Domiciliary Care Assistants with: 

• A caring, reliable and compassionate approach, helping others live life to the fullest 

• Experience not required – we provide full induction and ongoing care training 

• Clear communication, good spoken English and a friendly, professional manner 

• Confidence working independently in people’s homes 

• A valid UK driving licence 

• The right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available 

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one) 

We are expanding to include more complex care packages – if you are seeking experience with PEG feeding, suction, or other advanced care tasks, we can provide the support and opportunities you need.
