Recognised as a progressive, high-quality, sector leader in the provision of health and social care, we are actively recruiting a Induction and Training Coordinator for our office in Swindon to onboard and deliver engaging training courses to our dedicated Care Assistants.

This role requires an outgoing, organised and passionate onboarding and training professional who has exceptional communication skills and a forward-thinking approach. You should have a strong background in effectively meeting objectives and targets in a customer focussed environment, along with excellent communication, IT and organisational skills. You will be personable, able to communicate and teach in a variety of styles and media and represent Right at Home as an award-winning employer of choice.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Liaising with the Registered Manager with regards to Care Assistant training and Induction requirements

· To arrange and deliver induction training and assess the competency of Care Assistants completing the Care Certificate to meet the Company’s recruitment needs.

· To arrange, deliver and record any additional training which has been identified through observation or supervision as being required

· Checking of all ID documents against application paperwork and applying for Enhanced DBS documents for all applicants and tracking the progress of each application where required

· Maintain onboarding compliance, ensuring all staff files are complete

· Mentor new employees through their first 12 weeks of employment

· Encouraging and supporting with further professional development with all Care Assistants such as QCF Level 2 and 3.

· Participate in on-call duties as part of a rotating roster.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

· Train the Trainer qualifications in Moving and Handling and Administering Medication – not essential, training can be provided

· Experience working in the Care Sector

· AET or equivalent teaching qualification also desirable

· Experience delivering first-class customer service

. GCSE’s Maths and English level 4 and above (Grade C)

· Ability to use initiative and function independently with a minimum of structure, direction and oversight

· Excellent organisational and administrative skills to maintain training records, Care Assistant files and safeguard all required updates

· Ability to manage difficult or complex situations and/or relationships with tact, confidence and diplomacy

· Ability to resolve problems and concerns related to tasks, projects, and assignments in a timely and appropriate manner
