Job summary

At St Jude’s Care, our Live-in Carers make a real difference, bringing comfort and confidence to people living in their own homes. You’ll provide one-to-one care – whether helping with personal care, medication support and home-cooked meals, or simply offering companionship over a cup of tea. Every day brings variety, purpose and the chance to improve someone’s quality of life. 

What You’ll Do 

• As a Live-In Carer, you’ll support clients with personal care in a way that protects dignity, comfort and choice 

• Prepare meals suited to their dietary needs and preferences 

• Prompt or administer medication safely and on time 

• Provide companionship, reassurance and a warm, steady presence throughout the day 

• Assist with light household tasks to keep the home clean, safe and comfortable 

• Encourage independence wherever possible, supporting clients to stay involved in daily routines

• Paid induction and full Care Certificate training 

• Career progression with opportunities to complete NVQ Level 2–3 and the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care

Your Skills and Experience 

Are you someone who takes pride in helping others live life to the fullest? We’re looking for people with: 

• A caring, reliable and person-centred approach 

• Clear communication skills, good spoken English and a calm, reassuring manner 

• Confidence working independently in a client’s home 

• Right to work in the UK 

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one) 

• 6+ months of live-in care experience 

• A driving licence (desirable)
