Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead our service and ensure full compliance with CQC standards.. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents whilst maintaining high standards of care and management excellence. The ideal applicant will possess extensive experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, and care management, with strong leadership skills and a passion for elder care.

As Registered Manager, you will oversee the operational management of the service, ensuring we provide safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led care. This leadership role requires strong compliance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for service improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality resident-centred care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff rotas, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure the care home operates within legal frameworks, including health & safety regulations and CQC standards.
  • Lead staff recruitment, training programmes, performance appraisals, and professional development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive organisational culture centred on compassion, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive resident support.
  • Monitor quality assurance processes to uphold service excellence at all times.
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively to optimise operational efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or senior care leader
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and domiciliary care processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage teams effectively
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
  • Proficiency with digital care management systems (or willingness to learn)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

Experience developing or growing a domiciliary care service

Experience managing CQC inspections with strong outcomes

Strong ability to implement new systems and processes

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (required or currently working towards)
  • Relevant care qualifications such as Level 3 Health & Social Care (minimum)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in safeguarding
