Job Title: Self-Employed Live-In Carer
Location: Private residence (female client living with husband)
Rate: £850 per week + £40 weekly food allowance

We are seeking an experienced self-employed live-in carer to support a female client in her own home. The client lives with her husband, who is fully independent. This is not a couple care package; care is required for the wife only. The live-in carer will, however, provide meals and light household support for the husband.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide person-centred support to the female client

• Assist with mobility support, comfort, and pain management

• Support daily living tasks in line with the client’s needs

• Prepare meals and provide general household support

• Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing

Essential Requirements:

• Self-employed status

• Current DBS registered on the Update Service

• Mandatory training in date (completed within the last 6 months)

• Right to work in the UK (status must be confirmed)

• UK address required

• Excellent spoken English and communication skills, due to the husband having very poor hearing; the successful applicant must be easily understood and able to communicate clearly and effectively

Desirable:

• Car driver (a strong advantage due to the property’s location)

• Understanding of osteoporosis, mobility issues, and pain management

This role would suit a compassionate, reliable carer who is confident working independently and delivering high-quality live-in care in a private family home.
