Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in Supported Living accommodation around Milton Keynes and Luton area. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those we support, particularly individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism or behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to individuals, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals with Mental Health, Learning disabilities and Autism, employing appropriate techniques like PBS to manage behaviours effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their mobility needs are met.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their independence, physical and emotional well-being,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within Supported Living environment.
• Knowledge of safeguarding processes and reporting.
• A compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary.
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be beneficial but are not essential.
