Job summary
The Registered Manager (RM) at Seniors Helping Seniors is responsible for providing operational management and leadership for the company by working with the directors to deliver person centred, safe, effective, responsive, caring, well led services, which are fully compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation especially the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
This is a hybrid role, working from home, client home or care setting and in the community.

The Seniors Helping Seniors Registered Manager is a leadership role
Providing leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice within the operational delivery of the services to all clients and customers, carers and community practitioners.
The role ensures the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed carers to ensure that it achieves fully compliant and high-quality services in and around Canterbury, Thanet, Deal and Sandwich and all the villages in between.
The role provides operational management of the team, to keep the team aware of developments within the industry and ensures, that the appropriate policies and procedures are developed to meet the company’s mission and objectives and to comply with all relevant legislation and regulations.
The role establishes and maintains effective links with customers, relevant local authorities, key decision-makers and other stakeholders to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range of quality and compliant services suitable for the communities it serves.
The role supports the representation of the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, local government departments and other key contacts.
The role delivers and maintains Quality Management systems and audits throughout the company to comply with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and other relevant regulations and legislation e.g. Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The role delivers the implementation of equal opportunities policies in all aspects of the company’s work in compliance with the Equality Act 2010.

The role ensures the development and implementation of effective and up to date Safeguarding Policies and Procedures which integrate with local safeguarding adult boards and national guidance.

The role manages the recruitment of carers, supervises and manages terams to achieve full compliance with CQC and maintain appraisals and supervisions.
The role assists the Directors in the active development, promotion and administration of the business.
The role ensures that the Directors are fully informed of all matters pertaining to the efficient running of the business and management of service risks.

Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent NVQ5 in leadership in health and social care
- enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring service
- Must be able to meet the requirements of health and social care act 2008 (regulated activities) regulations 2014. regulation7
- 18
- 19 and schedules 3 and 4 as well as the UK right to work checks
- managed a health and social care service for a minimum of 3 years
- managing CQC compliance
- experience of managing and developing an effective team including recruitment
- ability to maintain compliant electronic records
- business planning experience
- love of caring
- trained in the development and implementation of risk assessments
