Job summary

Leelin Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Care Worker (Females Only) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals in their own homes and within community-based settings.

You will play a key part in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being, while supporting junior staff and ensuring care is delivered to a high standard in line with CQC expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, continence care, and mobility assistance
  • Support individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and encourage independence wherever possible
  • Assist with safe moving and handling, including the use of mobility aids and hoists (where trained and required)
  • Support individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex care requirements
  • Prompt and support medication in line with care plans and company procedures (including MAR chart completion where applicable)
  • Observe and report changes in health, mood, or behaviour, escalating concerns appropriately
  • Maintain accurate records including daily notes, incident reports, and care documentation
  • Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries at all times
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to support continuity of care
  • Support new staff through mentoring, guidance, and role modelling best practice

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in domiciliary care, supported living, or community-based care
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care and dignity in practice
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with service users, families, and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and confidence with documentation
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
  • A calm, respectful approach and the ability to respond appropriately in challenging situations

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK (required)
  • Enhanced DBS check (required – or willingness to obtain)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, depending on rota requirements)

Desirable

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Experience supporting individuals with dementia, autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
  • First Aid / CPR training
  • Medication training
