Domiciliary Support Worker - Children and Young people

Job summary

We are recruiting Domiciliary Support Workers to provide 1:1, and 2:2 to children and young people with additional and complex needs in their own homes and in the community.

Each child’s needs and support package are individual, therefore hours, days, and type of support will vary depending on the child and family requirements.

Children You Will Support May Have:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• ADHD
• Epilepsy
• Learning Disabilities
• Global Developmental Delay
• Global Growth Delay
• Physical Disabilities
• Limited or non-verbal communication needs

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing person-centred care and emotional support
• Supporting children at home and in the community
• Assisting with activities, outings, shopping, and appointments
• Supporting routines, independence, and social development
• Providing personal care where required (training provided)
• Working in line with care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Caring, patient, and reliable individuals
• Comfortable providing personal care where required
• Experience with children or young people with additional needs is desirable (but not essential – training provided)
• Drivers preferred, but non-drivers are welcome to apply (depending on location and availability)
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends
• Strong communication and professionalism

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
