Care Assistant

Job summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care and support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires individuals who are empathetic, patient, and committed to enhancing the quality of life of those in our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist with or administer prescribed medications to residents, following guidelines and training provided.
• Prepare meals and assist clients with eating and drinking as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and engaging in activities.
• Support with light housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in clients' homes.
• Accurately document care provided and any changes in clients' conditions via our digital care app.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a home care or care home setting is preferred but not essential. We're more than happy to put you through full training to get you up to speed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a compassionate and patient nature, strong observational skills, and the ability to work independently while working with our wider team.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Right to work in the UK, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Full UK Driving Licence (very much preferred)
