As we expand our operations in Haringey, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Supervisor to lead our frontline care team and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
The Role
The Care Supervisor plays a pivotal role at Blue Coral Health, bridging frontline care delivery and operational management. You will be responsible for supervising a team of Care Assistants in the field, carrying out spot checks and competency assessments, managing care administration, and working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure full compliance with CQC standards and local authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Field Supervision
? Conducting regular field visits, spot checks, and shadow shifts to monitor the quality of care delivered
? Carrying out care plan reviews and risk assessments in clients' homes
? Undertaking competency assessments and mentoring Care Assistants to maintain high performance standards
? Acting as the first point of escalation for concerns raised by clients, families, or care staff
? Ensuring all care is delivered in line with individual care plans, health and safety guidelines, and company policies
Administration & Compliance
? Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records, risk assessments, and client documentation
? Supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of new care staff
? Monitoring rotas, identifying staffing gaps, and coordinating cover where necessary
? Assisting with CQC compliance, audits, and quality assurance processes
? Preparing supervision and appraisal records for Care Assistants
? Liaising effectively with healthcare professionals, social workers, and local authority representatives
Team Leadership
? Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding, compassionate care
? Promoting a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and continuous improvement
? Facilitating team meetings and briefings to communicate updates and best practice
? Identifying and nurturing talent within the team, supporting career development pathways
