Trinity247 Care Services, Jersey, is looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join their team. 

Pay rate: £17 per hour

This role includes a mix of day and night shifts -

Day Shifts - 7:30 am - 8:00 pm
Night shifts - 7:30 pm - 8:00 am

Weekend & Bank holiday work included.

We support both male and female Service Receivers using bespoke care plans.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our clients’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven methods to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling life. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key part in helping them achieve their care goals. You will implement individualised care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and care of the Service Receivers.

You will also:

- Provide practical support and responsive care to clients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.

- Observe and monitor the wellbeing of Service Receivers ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff and documented as appropriate.

- Provide specific interventions with clients as delegated by a Registered Manager, and following training and competency attainment.

- Contribute to a team approach to client care in conjunction with all members of team.

- Participate in regular team meetings and attend other meetings as requested.

- Assist in the maintenance of stock levels.

- Assist in the maintenance of home cleanliness and tidiness and always adhere to infection control policy and procedures.

- Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with clients, colleagues and other professionals, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.

- Help promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the client / relatives and carers.

- Ensure service users are gaining a quality service that is value for their money.

- To receive and convey information in a courteous manner and ensure all persons visiting the client are greeted and assisted in a welcoming and supportive manner.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate:

- 1 year experience as a carer (Desirable)

- Care Certificate (Desirable)

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature

- Empathy, understanding and patience

- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team

- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure

- The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges

- Competent in verbal and written English

- A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
