Therapeutic Domiciliary Carers (Female)

Overview

We are seeking motivated, trustworthy, and compassionate individuals who want to make a positive impact by supporting vulnerable adults and children in the comfort of their own homes.

Role Purpose:
Provide personal care that respects service users’ dignity and promotes independence. Care is akin to what a family member would reasonably provide (not tasks for a trained nurse).

Key Duties:
Follow personalised Care Plans to support clients’ independence, including:

• Personal care: Dressing, grooming, hygiene, continence management, pressure sore care (under nursing supervision), physical handling.

• Healthcare: Support rehab programmes, assist with prescribed medication (if trained).

• Dietary: Prepare meals/snacks, assist with feeding.

• Household: Cleaning, bedmaking, laundry, rubbish removal, shopping/budgeting.

Also required:

• Follow organisational policies.

• Attend induction and ongoing training.

• Maintain accurate records (care logs, daily reports, etc. ).

• Attend staff review meetings as directed.

• Report any urgent concerns about client care.

• Participate in Care Plan reviews.

• Know tasks not permitted under Policy 101.

Requirements for this role: 

• NVQ Level 2 Qualification 
• Must be registered with Social Care Wales 
• Full UK Driving Licence
