Job Summary
We are a newly registered Care at Home provider, approved by the Care Inspectorate in both East and West Dunbartonshire Councils.
We are now recruiting compassionate and reliable Bank/Zero-Hour Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centre care to adults aged 65+ in their own homes.
As a Bank Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality domiciliary care to our service users in their own homes. You will be part of a flexible bank team, picking up shifts that suit your availability.
This role is ideal if you:
• Have other commitments and need flexibility
• Are studying and need work that fits around your timetable
• Have another job and want additional hours
• Simply prefer the variety and freedom of zero-hours work
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care
• Assisting with washing, bathing, showering, and personal hygiene
• Helping with dressing and undressing
• Supporting with toileting and continence care
• Oral care, hair care, and grooming
• Skincare and pressure area monitoring
Meal Preparation & Nutrition
• Preparing and cooking meals according to dietary preferences
• Assisting with eating and drinking
• Encouraging adequate food and fluid intake
• Monitoring and recording intake
Medication Support
• Prompting and reminding service users to take medication
• Administering medication where trained and authorised
• Recording all medication on MAR charts
Companionship & Social Support
• Providing conversation, emotional support, and reassurance
• Accompanying service users to appointments or social activities
• Engaging service users in meaningful activities
Domestic Support
• Light housekeeping related to care
• Laundry and linen changes
• Bed making
• Shopping for groceries and household items
Mobility & Safety
• Assisting with walking and use of mobility aids
• Supporting safe transfers
• Falls prevention and environmental safety checks
Administration
• Recording clear, accurate care notes after every visit
• Reporting changes in condition or concerns promptly
• Following care plans and risk assessments precisely
