As our local Lisburn branch continues to grow, we are recruiting Part-Time and Bank Waking-Night Care Support Workers to help people remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.

You do not need previous care experience. If you are compassionate, reliable and willing to learn, we will provide the full training and ongoing support you need.

ABOUT THE ROLE

During a waking-night shift, you will remain awake and provide active care and support throughout the night.

Your responsibilities will be based on each person’s individual care plan and may include:

  • Providing compassionate, person-centred care in the person’s home
  • Supporting with personal care while maintaining dignity and privacy
  • Providing reassurance, companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with mobility, safe movement and repositioning
  • Monitoring the person’s wellbeing throughout the night
  • Supporting with medication once trained and assessed as competent
  • Responding appropriately to changes or concerns
  • Following care plans, risk assessments and agreed procedures
  • Completing accurate care records
  • Communicating with families, colleagues and other professionals
  • Encouraging independence, choice and control

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.

Applicants must be registered with NISCC or be willing and eligible to register. NISCC registration and the associated fees are the applicant’s responsibility.
