Sleep-In Care Support Worker – Lisburn

As our Lisburn branch continues to grow, we are recruiting Part-Time and Bank Sleep-In Care Support Workers to support people in their own homes across Lisburn and the surrounding area.

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential. If you are compassionate, reliable and willing to learn, we will provide full training and ongoing support.

ABOUT SLEEP-IN SHIFTS

During a sleep-in shift, you will stay overnight in the person’s home. Suitable sleeping arrangements will be provided.

You will be available to respond if the person requires care, reassurance or assistance during the night. The support required will be explained in the person’s individual care plan.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Helping the person settle safely and comfortably for the night
• Providing reassurance and emotional support
• Responding if care or assistance is required overnight
• Supporting with personal care while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Assisting with mobility and other night-time needs
• Supporting with medication once trained and assessed as competent
• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns
• Following care plans, risk assessments and agreed procedures
• Completing accurate care records
• Promoting independence, choice and control

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.

Applicants must be registered with NISCC or be willing and eligible to register. NISCC registration and the associated fees are the applicant’s responsibility.
