Job Description

We are looking for a kind, reliable and trustworthy self-employed Personal Assistant to provide practical support to an elderly lady in her own home in Ongar, Essex.

This is a small, regular assignment offering approximately two hours of work per day. It may particularly suit an established self-employed Personal Assistant who already supports other clients locally and has some availability to fit these hours into their existing schedule.

The agreed visiting times will be discussed with the successful applicant. Flexibility around morning or late-afternoon availability would be helpful.

Responsibilities May Include

• Light cleaning and general household tasks
• Laundry and changing bedding when required
• Preparing light meals and drinks
• Shopping and occasional errands
• Companionship and general day-to-day support
• Helping to keep the home safe, clean and comfortable

The ideal person will be friendly, patient and dependable, with a genuine interest in supporting an elderly person to remain comfortable and independent at home.

Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant or in a similar role would be helpful. However, reliability, a caring nature and the ability to work independently are most important.

A driver with access to their own vehicle would be preferred due to the location and the possibility of occasional errands, but this is not essential.

• Able to travel reliably to Ongar, CM5
