Healthcare Assistant/ Support Worker

HOME CARE ASSISTANT / SUPPORT WORKER – SOMERSET

Recruit Care Professionals is looking for kind, reliable and compassionate Home Care Assistants and Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes across Somerset.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about helping others remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own home. Previous care experience would be helpful, although applicants with the right attitude and a genuine interest in supporting others are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting clients with personal care
• Preparing meals and drinks
• Providing medication support where required
• Completing light household tasks
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Supporting clients with shopping, appointments and activities
• Monitoring clients’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns
• Completing accurate care notes after each visit

Requirements:

• Kind, patient and respectful approach
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Good communication skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Willing to complete the required background and recruitment checks
• Able to travel reliably to clients’ homes across the local area

Drivers with access to their own vehicle are preferred due to the nature of community-based home care, but this is not essential for every applicant.

Pay starts from £14.00 per hour. Working hours and availability will be discussed during the application process.
