Carer/support worker

About the Role

Almond Flex Care is looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Home Carers / Support Workers to support children and young adults in their homes and communities.

You will provide person-centred Personal Care and support, helping individuals to live safely, confidently and as independently as possible.

Key Duties

• Provide personal care and daily living support where required.

• Support children and young adults with autism and other support needs of personal care.

• Assist with meals, feeding, medication and personal routines in line with care plans and training.

• Provide companionship and emotional support.

• Support community activities, appointments, education and social activities.

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and infection-control procedures.

• Complete accurate care records and report any concerns or changes in needs.

• Work professionally with families, social workers, healthcare professionals and other care staff.

• Able to follow care plans, risk assessments and company procedures.

• Willing to undertake mandatory training and ongoing development.

Essential Requirements

• At least 1 year’s relevant care or support experience.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Satisfactory DBS and employment checks.

• Good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.

Desirable: Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification, experience with autism or learning disabilities, medication/personal care experience, and a full UK driving licence where required.
