Homecare provider Sevacare is continuing its expansion with its acquisition of Charnwood Care which has an annual turnover of £2m.
The Leicestershire based domiciliary care business, Charnwood Care, delivers over 3,000 hours each week, and employs 180 people.
Charnwood is Sevacare’s third acquisition overall.
Care Services director, Debbie Dennis, called it a "very exciting time for Sevacare" and said: "The Charnwood acquisition marks our continued growth and development across a number of counties. We already have an established working partnership with Leicestershire County Council and this acquisition will build upon that relationship, whilst giving us a stronger platform for growth across the county and into neighbouring areas.”
Chief executive, Roger Booker added "This acquisition now takes Sevacare’s weekly hours to over 65,000 per week. Our expansion over the last three years has been exceptional, with business volume more than three times the level of 2009. Whilst growth has been a cornerstone of our strategy, at no time has this been at the expense of compromising on our quality service ethos. We welcome all of the new employees to Sevacare and look forward to continuing to deliver a high quality service across Leicestershire."
