The HealthInvestor Awards recognise excellence and innovation in the health care sector, rewarding a range of services in the six categories.
Under the category of Social Care, Sevacare (UK) Ltd has been shortlisted for the national Domiciliary Care Provider of the Year award. The homecare provider has been shortlisted alongside six others.
Chairman Ravi Bains said: “Being shortlisted for this award is a great honour for Sevacare and a fantastic testament to the hard work of our team. It recognises the strength of our national, person-centred care and support, and demonstrates how as a company we continue to go from strength to strength.
“There has been a lot of negative publicity around recently about homecare and it is nice to be a part of something positive that recognises the excellent work that the sector does in improving the quality of life of clients we care for.”
Other finalists include Care UK for the Residential Care Provider of the Year award, for the Specialist Care Provider award and for the Community Support Provider of the Year.
HealthInvestor has announced that the 2013 entry process has seen an increase of ten per cent on entries and has been the most competitive to date.
Mr Bains commented: “It has taken a lot of hard work to get to the position where we can be shortlisted for such a prestigious title and I am proud of each and every one of our staff for getting us here. This is an exciting time for Sevacare and we look forward to hearing the results of the panel."
The finalists will be judged by an independent panel and announced at the black tie award ceremony in June.
