10 Year Milestone for Carewatch (Bexley) ....now that’s something to celebrate!!
Carewatch (Bexley) are celebrating their 10th Year Anniversary this year, so Paul and Priya Chawla-Lidbury (franchisees) who joined the successful Carewatch family back in 2003 have been very busy this year ensuring everyone knows that their baby has reached this amazing milestone.
They kicked of the celebrations earlier this year by informing all of their 175 customers and 75 Care and Support workers in a colourful and flamboyant newsletter. They then placed a large front and back page cover spread in their local paper (Newshopper) ensuring everyone in the Bexley Borough knew that this year was a special year for Carewatch (Bexley).
This was just the start for the husband and wife duo as whilst promoting their milestone in various publications, they were busy arranging for the annual Bexley ‘Danson Festival’ in July where they had a marquee set up promoting the amazing job their staff do to assist their customers remain independent in their own homes.
Mr. Chawla-Lidbury said: “the whole office got involved in this busy but fun packed weekend by sharing the shifts, a couple of the office team even made special Carewatch Cup Cakes, which they were giving away. I think we were all surprised by how many people came up to us, either interested in how we could support a loved one or enquiring about a possible Career in Care; some people just wanted to say what a great job we did, which was very heart warming. I suppose the icing on the cake for us was when the Bexley Mayor took time to come over and chat with us and congratulate us on our 10 year anniversary...doesn’t get any better than that”.
With the Danson even not even finished, Paul and Priya Chawla-Lidbury were already arranging their next event. They had sent out invitations to all of their customers, some of their support workers and some other special guests to join them for an afternoon of cake, entertainment, awards giving and essentially a Carewatch Cuppa.
Paul Chawla-Lidbury commented: “We thought this would be a great way for our customers to be able to meet the Carewatch team in an informal setting, whilst enjoying a fantastic Carewatch Cuppa along with a slice of birthday cake. We wanted to ensure the afternoon was full of fun, so as a treat to all of those who attended, a couple of the team who work in the office arranged for their daughters to put on some Irish Dancing, which was well received. The awards ceremony was an important part of our afternoon to acknowledge some of the fantastic work individuals have been doing over the years with us and for some of them, they were also celebrating 10 years with the company. The Deputy Mayor assisted us with awarding these team members with some special treats.”
Priya commented: “we feel so privileged that we have been able to support so many hundreds of people over the years to remain in the comfort of their own homes for so long, we wouldn’t change what we do now; making a positive difference to someone’s life is the ultimate reward.”
