Darlington based homecare company Heritage Healthcare have announced a fantastic start to 2016. The company, which now has 12 offices nationwide, have more than doubled the size of their Darlington office, becoming the largest provider of homecare in the area.
Heritage Healthcare have taken a further contract with the Darlington Borough Council, delivering another 62,000 hours of care a year to a further. In total, the company now provides 124,000 hours per year to clients within the Darlington borough. Heritage Healthcare now hold 25% of the domiciliary care market within Darlington.
By taking over the contract, which had previously been delivered by Allied Healthcare, Heritage Healthcare and its board of Directors have secured the future of 40 jobs. They have also ensured continuity of care for 100 service users within the local community.
The expansion has seen the Heritage Healthcare care team move to a larger premise within Enterprise House, with head office remaining at Heritage House, Houndgate.
Heritage Healthcare Managing Director, Glenn Pickersgill, whose family has been providing care in Darlington since 1955, said, “We are delighted to be able to help further service users in the Darlington borough. We’ve delivered care, with pride and compassion, for the past 30 years and hope to continue for many more. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Darlington Borough Council to support more public service users.”
