Louise Prince, Care Worker with Bluebird Care Gravesham & Dartford has been announced as Care Worker of the year. The award is a great achievement and creates an opportunity to celebrate excellence in care. It was presented by Michael Wenban, Mayor of Gravesend at a special afternoon tea on 24th February.
Louise was nominated following a survey with customers where she received almost 10% of all nominations. Higher than any other member of staff! In particular, one couple that Louise provides support for commented that:
"Nothing is too much trouble for Louise. She has been our carer for nearly three years and is almost like part of the family or a daughter to us. She is always kind and does not ‘clock watch’ when she visits. If she finishes her tasks a bit early she spends time with us or does things we have not even needed to ask her to do like beautifully cleaning the sink!"
"Louise is the best care worker we have ever known and supports us with anything we need such as washing, hospital appointments and always goes out of her way to help. She is happy, cheerful, laughs and jokes and nothing is too much trouble for her." Louise has worked for Bluebird Care as a Community Care Worker for over four years and very much enjoys the time she spends with her customers. She was absolutely delighted to have been nominated for the award and even more delighted to have the mayor present it to her!
